Gigi Up-date

Hey Walt, you and your wife keep up the strength, you are both doing something heroic. Too many folks don't have that in their time of passing.

Thanks Guys just got back from her house....she was asleep and did not wake up while there......my wife is wearing down....I know this may be bad to say but I hope this is over soon......we are taking this one day at a time.

Walt

It's not bad to say that Walt, and you should not feel bad by thinking it. I went through something very similar with my father. We all prayed that he would pass on quickly and painlessly.

When a situation like this is hopeless it's the best thing you can hope for.

It isn't bad to want to ease the suffering of a loved one......

God bless you all... and may He give you strength and peace.....

She is so lucky that you are both there for her. It has to be horrible for you both, but I cannot even imagine how Vickie is dealing with it. She will need support when this is all over. I hope she will get professional help if she needs it. Grief is a long time enemy. God Bless you all and hopefully Gigi will be free from this horrible ordeal soon and the peace she so deserves will be all hers.

And, if she is up to it, please give her a hug for me :D

Walt,

You and my wife are in my prayers. Shout at me if you need anything

Gigi continues to get worse each day.....I am amazed at how much the body can take.....she is very confused these days....she thinks my wife her daughter is my wifes daughter Hannah.....I guess all the pain meds she is on does strange things to the mind.....we continue to take this one day at a time....on a happy note my wife got a full night sleep last night..:)

Thanks, Walt

My father seen spiders on the walls. Since we could not see them, he pointed to where they were and "killed" them for him. He was happy.

Answer to any name Gig calls, as just being there is what's important. My mom and I took turns just holding dads hand so he knew was not alone.

Walt this really brings a tear to my eye. I am so sorry for all this pain, if it were within my power I would end all suffering, period. Your family is still in our prayers...

Hang in there Walt......I understand......my father thought he was back in Vietnam and was asking about his uniform and maps......it was really freaky to see this happen.

Glad the wife got a good nights sleep......she's gotta take care of herself....

God Bless you all.

Hang in there, Walt...... God bless you all....

Sounds like Gigi will be going home soon........ Wish we could all be there with you....

Hang tough....

Tim

hang in there walt...extremely sorry for you and yours my friend.:(

I am sorry to hear all of this - My Dad has colon cancer and is still fighting it - I pray for you, your family and Gigi!!! It is a rough road - My Mother-in-law passed away from lung cancer 3 years ago - she died peacfully at her home where my wife and I lived while building my home next to her and the other side where my Mom and Dad live. The people at Hospice are a blessing.
God Bless

Sorry to hear the sad news Walt....Havent been here much lately but you and your family are in our prayers.....Hang in there my friend...

Stefan....

Just a little up-date, Gigi had a really rough night last night she got all mixed up and tried to pull her feeding tube out....we were able to stop her.....We now change the durogesic patch every 24-hours and the morphine has been raised again....it seems like she sleeps a lot during the day and is very restless at night.....I think the pain is really bad at night......we continue to take it one day at a time.

Thanks, Walt
