I do agree with you Guys...no doubt that the ET can differ.
What concerns me is the trap speed.
Ive been drag racing racing just about everything that I own for nearly 20 years. Cars, trucks and bikes have all reacted typically the same. Even though my ET was all over the place, within reason of course, my trap speeds were all within lets say, .5 mph. When you start to notice 1.5 to 2mph drop offs, you either really miss shifted or HP fell off. Whether its heatsoak, ambient temps/condition changes or engine trouble.
My motor was cool and I shifted at 5500, 5700, 5700 as I always do. Who knows though. I could be doing something that Im not recognizing.
Im going to try again Friday with an 1/2 tank of gas again(if I get back in time). Im going to write down and compare the track conditions. If I start hitting the high 108's again, maybe Im right. If I dont and my MPH trap's are not consistent with this vehicle(within .5), then I have to rethink.
My goal is to get in the 12.6's with a very good 60. Im adding high flow mids shortly. Can it be done? Who knows. My last goal was to get my INTERNALLY STOCK ZZR1200 to run 10.1's. I did it. Bike spent more time at the track than on the street though. I dont think anyone on the ZZR forum has beat the 10.12 time yet. Afterwords, I got bored and sold it to buy the 5100 lb tank....
I forgot to mention...editing...yeah getting in the 12's is real satisfying in itself. Im still very pleased with that!
