HELP ME!!!! MY TRUCK IS BROKEN!!!!:(

Hey guys!! Help, my truck is beeing weird, for some reason my oil pressure is dropping off when I come to a stop at light and my check guages light comes on.

Those are the only indications, so I'm not driving it until I can take it to the dealership on monday!! The engine sounds fine so I think its a sensor or guage issue...Has anybody had this issue?:dontknow:

Turn your key on and off 3 times and see if it gives you a code. How low is the pressure? Any other indications? Did you check your oil level?

My pressure goes all the way to zero and then comes back up to about 30-35 when apply gas. I figured it needed new oil since I was at 2500 miles.

When you say it needed new oil, did you just change the oil?

Yeah, but it was doing this before I changed the oil and it is still doing it now...

Yeah, my oil level was good....I'm gonna check the code when I go down stairs, do any of you know what the codes mean??

at that point I would check your oil!

just pop the hood and look @ the dip stick..its very important that its not empty

9 qts of Mobile 1 0w30 or whatever it says on the cap and I made sure they changed the filter...they had to go to Advanced auto to get the oil!!

I just changed the oil today and it was good, it's still full so that is what is leading me to think it's a sensor issue!

I'm guessing 0W-40 but if you had this problem before and after the oil change then something else is going on here.

I checked the codes and nothing...when I first started the truck it wasn't doing it but I drove it around the base and as soon as the oil heated up a little bit it started doing it again. It has pressure until I come to a stop and the gear is in drive. Then it drops off to zero and the check guages light comes on....No check engine light!

No oil leaks anywhere...
You have possible gauge problem...but get it check asap!!

I would not run the truck anymore and have it towed to the Dealer.

That's what I'm thinking...but, if it were an actual oil pressure loss wouldn't I have other indications like the engine acting funny and maybe high oil temps? Just curious...I wont drive it cause I'm afraid to break it!!
