WATS UP GUYS
AM JR:D
AM FROM VAN NUYS CA
I HAVE A 04 RAM SRT10 RQ

I KEEP HEARING A GRINDING SOUND COMING FROM THE MANUAL TRANS EVERY TIME I LET OUT THE CLUTCH AND GIVE IT GASS

AM THINKING PILOT BEARING

HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM

DOES ANYONE KNOW WAT IT IS?
ANYONE THINK ITS THE PILOT BEARING AS WELL

welcome and a little more deail please, that is vague and there is a gridning noise but it is from the shifter even on a stock shifter. Neopreane gasket will take care of it. If that is not it describe it in detail. Again welcome.

Go 45 Put it in neutral and push the clutch in. And then report if its still doing it.?

Put it on jack stands (use chocks!), or on a full chassis lift and get the wheels going in gear. is it still doing it then?

It will help to eliminate some possibilities.

Hell you can have someone drive it while on the chassis lift and you can isolate the location.

Sounds like a bit like a clutch release bearing problem.

Don't know what the name is in the US but it's the bearing on the clutch fork.

Does the noise go when you press the clutch pedal down??

Welcome from the wild west!......(cal south)....... :D  ........git the clutch figured out.......? let us know........:burnout:

Does it engage gear fine? Can you get into gear at all? How does the clutch pedal feel? Weaker than normal or the correct pressure?

Cheers

Did they put in the Viper Slave cylinder or another OEM install?

What clutch did they put in?

Welcome by the way!

Most of us with these problems have gone to the Viper Slave and Master Cylinder, and the CenterForce Clutch.

They won't cover it -- under warranty (factory, extended, etc.)? Why not?
