Hogan intake manifold.

I use to run a Hogan sheetmetal intake. They make high quality and high dollar stuff.
IMHO, guys that use a Paxton Novi2000 will never make enough power to need that intake. ProCharger and Turbo guys YES....

I agree man very few trucks on this site could use the intake properly.

There's your answer you guys buy the shit out of them for your stock motors sounds like a no lose situation

Stock engine? Surely your not that slow...How did you miss the part i said with the right head and cam combo? It was only a few words??WTF?? Now i could see the long runner one being about worthless unless you were puttung some compressed air to it...Or a MONSTER n/a build...For Efrains use with his current set up, no..

depends on the design of the intake, if you tell Hogan what you are doing he can design the runners for the amount of flow you will need, is it worth the $$ eh that's personal satisfaction, they do work however, there not hard to build if you know someone that can aluminum weld, but getting it right is another story

Tony, how much power could someone build over stock with a custom intake, assuming a stockish engine?

honestly hard to tell, if its done right maybe 30 but that will be dictated by the heads and the rest of the build, everybody makes there claims advertising this that, but it all depends on how the engine is set up to breath, heads cam so forth, actually a loaded question;) too many variables to pin down a number, Rons ported intake probably only added 15-20 actual number, but the entire package netted 600

Good feedback. Thanks.

Here is a thread about what power/torque gains a ported intake will make with a stock engine block.

It would be interesting to have compared the base dyno to the ported intake and the Hogan at the same time. I assume that the gains is any on the Hogan over the ported intake wouldn't have been worth the $$$.

I appreciate the input, but results may vary. I remember a conversation here where one well known builder saw a torque increase of 50 ft/ibs, ACROSS THE BOARD, by swapping to a gen II intake.

Link? I had bought a gen 2 intake at one time but never got around to installing it.
