How Fast can a SRT-10 Truck Go?

I will post when and where so anybody who wants to be there to laugh at me, cry with me or just have a good time seeing me say- "Watch This!!" will be able to.

Thats right Stink, It says they have a 1.9 mile area to run, One mile actual race run, then .9 or .8 mile to stop. I will do my best to go in June to do my first test. Already sent for rule book and membership.

maybe me and the BRUTAL 10 will run also:D

I think it would be pretty cool. This all started because my wife got me the DVD about the "World's Fastest Indian" and I'm all hot and bothered now. I figure if that old dude did that with no money, alot of talent and alot of luck and support from his community, how bad can I do?

walenator - once you guys get use to my sense of humor, my style of communication, and as you guys meet me over time you will find that I can be quite serious and very passionate about my hobby at the time, I always devote anywhere from 3 to 5 years to my hobby of choice at the time, and I always play to WIN!!!

72mph :p

I went to that site jrnd, and it was very interesting to read, here is the gest of the article
A 5500 lbs Dodge Ram sponsored by Wayne Jesel set and then reset the Class C Modified Production record at Bonneville Salt Flats this week. The Quad Cab pick-up easily moved its 32 sq. ft. of frontal area, equivalent to an upright sheet of plywood, across the flats and obliterated the existing record of 158mph with an average speed of 203.87 mph on Sunday.

On Tuesday, Dodge Ram put it’s 930hp to full use on the long track. Resetting their own record, Jimmy Barton drove the 5500lb Dodge Ram Quad Cab pick-up to an astonishing 2 run average of 224.08 mph, officially setting the C/MP record and making it the fastest pick-up truck ever to run in its class at Bonneville Speedweeks.

I don't think the aluminum viper motor can take on that much horsepower. an strong iron block, and a big supercharger and burn nitromethane and you'll have all the power you need.

After about 190mph, the S/C will be more of a hinderance than a helper.

Folks need to stop thinking about 1320 and work with 26,400 instead.

I think the Viper block *can* handle that kind of HP. Remember the aluminum blocks in the Pontiac's from the 70's? You could get some great HP from them, and they ran nice and cool.

I still think that 250mph is do-able.

Underground is making 1836 rwhp with stock block and modified t 76's

The means and the collective know-how is here... on this forum. You just have to put it all together. I think it can be done....

all depends on how much $$$$ you wanna or can spend. f it strap a jet engine to it and she'll do over 250 :D

alright is this a joke?? you said 225 mph then you went on to say you take your goals seriously, but then you say you would settle with 175 mph. im not sure what to make from all this. however you have my attention!! i think it is a reachable goal, and your low horsepower idea is right on. as for areo you showed that two other trucks are capable. Last, you seem to have the right manufacture:rock: please keep us posted on your progress!!! ill buy you a beer when you reach your goal:star:

Wow...gone to DC for a couple of hours and there are 60 posts here....:D

Thoughts:

the block will be fine....just sleeve the block....

I will watching a S/C viper run tomorrow that will be set up for a 230+ mph flying mile....paxton + meth + 500 SHOT.....500......

A S/C can't give you the power you need....the power needed to go 200 vs 190 is significant....

the truck will be heavy with all the safety needed....
