How is the best place to live in California?

I just took a week long trip driving HWY 1. It amazing what California has done to preserve the coast line and protect the beach areas for the Elephant seals. The redwoods is something everyone should see at least once. Unbelivable, and breath taking.

Don't judge California by what happening in the larger cities. Most of the state is rural, and some of the most beautifullest areas in the country.

We stayed in an old hotel in Boonsville after spending the day in the wine country. I can see where it would be hard to leave and go somewhere else after living there.

A bit pricey, but I can see where people fall in love with that state.

Alot of people vacationing from Europe, and Asia. Ran into a group from Italy that was driving hwy 1 on motorcycles.

Come to Santa Clarita (Valencia) Very nice area. A little pricey but you can find houses in Valencia for 250k? lol

On a serious note. If you like to smoke the wacky tobacky then move here. Not only do you get to smoke it legally. You can also grow up to 12 plants legally.

Funny, I've lived in California for over 45 years and I know of no law that permits smoking pot or growing pot. Smoking is a minor infraction of the law, but growing is still considered a felony, and they bust people everyday caught growning plants. The only laws permitting smoking or growing apply to medicinal marijuana use, not for everyday citizens.

cali is a great place to visit. the redwoods are amazing. just not my cup of tea to live there. stayed at a place near gilroy about 10 years ago that had a neat car museum i think the name of it was Casa De Fruita or sumthin like that.

I always wanted to visit cali mainly for scenery and girls but if they looked like that I'd stay in Miami and keep playing with the ladies here.... :marchmellow:

Ah, thank all for the explains. Now im confused ) I think i have to start my company in 2-3 weeks in Nevada and from this i take to California so i can live in the nice place and work easy.

I create this year 3-4 new jobs in the railway business and for system operators. Two jobs are home office based.

it may not be your cup of tee but try it out for a week or so. (come visit)
then judge for your self. i like it here, i would not move anywhere else!

I live 1 hour from Napa and Infinion raceway so if you like wine your there. I live 4 hours from Reno or Lake Tahoe. 1.5 hours from Monterey, pebble beach, Carmel, Luguna Seca . 1 hour from the ocean. 3 hours from snow skiing, 5 hour from the desert. 1 hour from San Francisco. Golden Gate, Alcatraz. If your a sports fan. We have the Giants, the A's, Angles, and the Dodgers for baseball. 49er's, and unfortunately the Raiders. We have more Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Porsche's than the rest of the states combined. ( not sure about that last one but it sounds good ). As far as women are concerned. We have the "build to order" in the south and the "girls next door" in the north. As far as putting out. At least we don't have to be a family member in order to get laid. Oh and the strip bars. Our strip bars are "XXX" rated. That's right. We can go and watch real porn stars getting it on, on a stage.

Now with all that said. I truly do not do most of this myself. I am too cheap to go to a strip bar. To cheap to gamble. Hate losing.

And I don't do drugs or drink. Oh and you can buy alcohol 7 days a week between 6 a.m. and 2 a.m. the next day. The Earth quakes you get used to. You might actually feel one in every three years.
