how loud will these be?

how about using a cut out right before the muffler (for the track) those mufflers you got will sound AWESOME but loud

Thought about it but Fontana doesn't allow open pipes for their TnTs....:dontknow:

you don't have open pipes for tech ;-) you open them up once you're rolling down the track!

ferrari truck tried that.....they don't go for it there....
 
are you running 3" exhaust? I put those spintechs on my truck to quiet her down. Not sure what hit I took in HP though.

"the can " being the muffler itself ? I wouldn't think you would be talking about cutting apart the muffler,just the system. If it is just the muffler,I would still like to try it.Local shop can do the pipes for me cheap.Just want to hear what it sounds like. :D

Well it is the common sense approach! Why put a large exhaust from the manifold back and leave the restriction at the cylinder head to increase heat and detonation. If you look at REAL FAST cars that run mufflers they all have headers. If you have been through 5 different exhaust systems there is obviously a problem. Just trying to give you a little common sense thinking, a lot of times you left coast folks don't have a lot of common sense :D :D
 
geez, Mike doesn't want headers. he's willing to give up the 50 - 100 HP he'llget so that he can say he has no headers. luckilly his exhaust manifold gaskets haven't blown out yet! (YET!!!)

as for mufflers, I'd use the magnaflow 3". no baffles to rip out and no restrictions.
