I Cant Find a JOB.... This is unbelievable

It has Been 8 Months now since I quite my old job and I have applied at over 30 different places and I have not gottan one phone call for christ sake even the coast AIR FORCE rejected me due to a medical condition. I have no clue on what im going to do Im running out of all the money i saved up and im not selling enough on EBAY, and I cant have my wife and family supporting me. I just cant believe the turn my life is taking I never saw this comming. If any one in SOUT FLORIDA knows off any jobs please tell me.

I don't think you are looking for advice...but this is the internet...

Here is what I tell my students...

Don't look for a job. Find an organization that from all you can find out, is a great place to be in the short run, and for the long term too. Does it provide training to all of its employees, does it provide educational benefits, does it have very low turnover, do you know people that love to work there and would not leave for any reason.

There are quite a few organizations like that...you will have to do the research. Then go to the organization and sell yourself. Don't take no for an answer no matter what they say. Find the people you know who work there, have them go to bat for you. Have them try to arrange for you to meet the highest ranking people there possible.

Be prepared to take any position they offer...if you have done your research well, you can take a janitor position, be the very best janitor with the highest motivation and best attitude and if it truly is a great organization the right people will know how good you are. If you have picked a good organization they will be looking for people to move forward in the organization as soon as possible.

I once offered to work in a vacant position for any salary they wanted to pay me...if in two years I would be making a stated amount...I backed up my proposed deal with a signed but undated unconditional resignation. So in essence, they could have paid me anything they wanted until I had been there for one day short of two years and activated my resignation.

Find the right organization and you will have a career...not a job.

Buy, rent or borrow this book: "Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude". Read it, absorb it, and put it to use. It may be the catalyst that will ignite your eBay business! Who knows!?!?

Sorry to hear about your situation, here in Aus it's totaly the oposite. I run my own airconditioning installations service & can't for the life of me find any workers let alone good workers. Having said that I fear that our booming economy may take a turn for the worse soon because we tend to follow US trends. Anyway I hope your situation changes for the better real soon

most of the time the reason people dont get call backs is because of how poorly their resume is drafted,also if u have had alot of jobs within the past couple of yrs then ur a risk,employers dont want to hire someone that may not last more than a month

I feel your pain friend - I haven't worked for 12 of the last 14 months and I hear you on the ebay thing. I am gonna start looking for a tent and a camp stove cuz it isn't looking good here either. My hubby is on disability and I was the sole support of the household We are not sure how long we can keep making ends meet.:dontknow:

no offense but that actually makes me feel better moved from tx to ny been almost 6 months now and i cant get a job to save my life and i have turned in over 200 applications from where i live to Albany with all of 3 calls and no follow up calls. either over educated or not enough experience so i know all to well where you are coming from..

If It makes you feel better right now I'm being sued for everything I have. I am also foreclosing on 3 homes I think everyone this year is in deep water. Tough times guys

Yeah the inflation has caught up with us here... and our idiot of a leader decided it would be a good time to "take a bigger piece of the pie" from the Oil Companies.

There will be a lot of suffering before anything gets better, my best recommendation is to get very lean on any payments and ride it out.
