I just heard that my nephew has been taken to the ER. He was at daycare is unresponsive (whatever that means - that's all I know as of this moment).

I need you guys to pray that everything is ok with this boy, he's almost like my own son. He's only two years old and has an entire life ahead of him.

Some of you met him at the recent Chattanooga GTG.

Thanks everyone!! :)

Don't get too hung up on "unresponsive" most people that call 911 are not familiar with or how to identify what they are dealing with... certain keywords are "tagged to the call by dispatch)..to better narrow down what we are responding to.
Most likely he was responsive, and may have passed out...(vagal) may have been knocked out (ran into something, or another kid while playing), and/or could have spiked a high temperature secondary to getting sick.:dontknow:
Most kid's that go or are truly "unresponsive" have a pretty significant past history such as being a Diabetic... not to disregard the event....but moreover to put your mind at "ease".

Regardless, he will undergo a variety of test's to help identify what may have happened. Most likely there will be no diagnosis..but the discharge paperwork will be related to the best description that the hospital/MD will feel that the cause of the event was.
He will be in our thought's and prayer's.

Some thoughts and prayers just for good luck Jimi !!! Never too many !!!!!

Thank you ALL. I do believe the prayers worked!

I do think (now) the word "unresponsive" wasn't the correct use of the word at all. That got me (and others) all worked up and worried. (I still have an uneatened Meatball Sub(way) if anyone wants it.)

The doctors do think he may have had a very minor seizure when his temperature spiked, resulting in him being very weak and non-communicative. (unresponsive) I don't think they know for sure if he did or not. They do know it wasn't anything serious and bringing him into the ER was the correct action.

I am the bearer of good news though. :)

Latest report is that Chance got himself out of the bed to pee-pee in the potty and is on his feet moving around a bit. He's still kinda puny though. He's headed home shortly to go home and play with his pup.

Thanks again everyone. It means ALOT.

That is some great news! Glad it looks like he will be just fine.
