im sick as hell

yeah , that pump is strong, i also made sure there were no leaks at the nozzle. one other thing i had called shawn about the other day was my boost pressure. roe says this system is safe on stock internals at 5.5 lbs. mine reads 7.5 on the meth card which concerned me, but shawn said that was normal on meth.

My Roe was putting out ~8.5 LBS based on my piller mounted boost gauge and a commercial gauge used by my dealer..

Sounds like either the pump got stuck on / shorted / etc.... or also check your vacuum lines (connect to the vec, did 1 of them pop off)?

do you have your tune on your computer?

Now that sucks..I almost had a similar issue when I was at the track... I had the top radiator hose blow off while in the burnout box...and almost shot all that anti-freeze into the air filter/ TB/ Intake... would have been the end of it. I got lucky...when the hose popped...it went up, and not down.......and forced the anti- freeze to the ground. Here is the vid... you can hear them yelling "WATER".. in the background.

JMB's Radiator piping, and the better clamps addressed that..and no more problems, and no more worries of a hose popping off due to cheap clamps.

Out of curiosity where did you mount the Meth Nozzle?
Mine is in the front(face) of the S&B filter...so "dumping" of the Meth...would just run out the bottom of the filter...vs getting drawn into the plenum. Of course...does not matter at 100 mph.

Mine will hit 7.5 as well.

Really sorry to hear about the motor... hang in there, and good luck.

I know that sickening feeling all too well. I beefed up the internals on mine when it was a part. I hope things work out for the best for you.

So sorry to hear about your mishap. I can relate to your problem in a different way. Don't get upset just find out what happened and correct the problem with better internals. Everybody loves a good attitude and nobody likes a complainer. Keep your head up and build it bigger and better.

I'm real sorry to hear your misfortune. I hope you get this fixed soon.

Bill.

Sorry to hear about this problem.

The VEC caused my meth to spray continuously until it emptied the container. It happened at the MOPAR Nationals...I went over to the automatic car wash behind the motel and that unit sprayed water into the engine compartment and soaked the VEC box. Fortunately, my meth input is in the front of my intake filter. So it just leaked out of the filter for the most part.

The connections on the VEC are one of them most critical aspects of the VEC install...a bad solder or a drop of condensation in the wrong spot can cause havoc...

And yes...forged is the way to go now...find the dollars and make this lemon into lemonade...

Once again sorry...but boost comes with all kinds of risks...and in my opinion, those risks are the risks of the owner, not the manufacturer...

I did talk to sean today and he said that he was going to work with me. he wants me to go ahead and start pulling the motor, but at this point i feel a little better. the only thing is he said he has never had a meth pump to do that, but i have learned there has been several to do this.

Thanks Prof and TNViper for confirming you didn't tell me.
I felt like I was trying to defend myself telling Mark that I hand't heard of anything he had on his truck causing a pump to run on when he was telling me people were posting that they had.
I'll do my best to work with him and feel worse than he does.
What REALLY sucks is that he called me saying there was water at the filter, but everything was still ok. I told him to look everything over and let me know what he finds. Don't run the meth in the mean time. It was only after he took it out later that the problem occured, with the meth off. Hindsight says if there was that much water, pull the plugs and spin the motor over. Just let the thing dry out.
A simple fix became a major problem.
I guess I would only feel better if I had been the one making all the decisions or turning the key over.
I wasn't, but the parts he used came from my company, so I'll do what I can to help.
Hard to believe that much went in the engine.

Most of the time a vendor will find an excuse not to be responsible,I applaud roe racing for being a class act

so if i put a new 502 mercruiser in a guys boat and the oil pump fails its my fault not mercurys, ase certifications are a dime a dozen. I called sean and discussed what i had found and he had no answers and i told him what i was going to doand he said let him know, i did make a mistake by not pulling the plugs but had no idea that much had gone into the cylinders.

On the new ones in the TB (Hennessey's in this case lets blame John!)

In the earlier models the injection took place well forward in the front of the air intake. Here is a pic of mine...one of the earliest ones. So you can see that when my VEC stuck it just emptied most of the meth into and through the air filter...rather than into the engine.
