Intake Manifold - WE'RE ALL IDIOTS!!!

I just figured out the secret to removing it. With about 16" worth of 1/4" extensions and a t30 torx socket, you can put the socket on the inner bolts by feeding it in from the top center of the manifold between the runners! Got every inside bolt off in about 10 minutes!

Yep thats how you do it.. I dont see any other way to do it..

I have read about half a dozen write ups on its removal. They all had crazy tool contraptions and ground down 11mm box end wrenches and other crazy shit. Where's the write up with the normal person way!?!?

Use the 11mm instead of the Torx bit as well. You break your Torx more than likely. It's the two bolts near the rear that are somewhat a pain because socket won't fit through top of manifold. I stick extensions through intake, then with a pen magnet, I attach the socket to magnet and feed through side of intake, then insert extension into socket, remove bolt and repeat on opposite side. Believe its only those two that are a pain.

Speaking of idiots, I have a son-in-law that when the battery goes dead in his car he has the dealership tow the car and replace the dead battery. Real idiot you say. They tow his Mercedes and the guy knocks down a half of million a year. That’s right, $500,000.00 so we are not all endowed with the same abilities. Some are mechanical, some physical and others know how to make money, save money and provide us with the opportunity to make a living and a place to work. Just saying.
