Interest in a smaller/more affordable Procharger setup?

I couldn't buy one but I sounds like a real good idea!

Procharger is an amazing unit.

This one is the self contained unit also right.?

Good luck! I hope you build it!

so it would look similar to the 5.7 hemi setup? and does this come with an intercooler or is that and option?

It would be similar to a paxton only in the approx. mounting location and the shared belt, but thats about it. The 7kish price would be with EVERYTHING but fuel/tuning system including an air to air intercooler (there would be two air/air options).

Justin, How much is the F2 DIY kit in the picture. Looks bad ass by the way

Its more in the 10K range without fuel and tuning (hoping to be mid 9K honestly, but havent got everything totaled up yet). The big cog drive requires expensive pulleys and belt, its a more expensive blower, you need a totally new radiator fan setup, and a bigger intercooler. I wouldnt feel comfortable putting it on a stock engine because I dont know if it can be pullied down enough boost wise to be safe (I thinnk it can, but havent tried it obviously), and that adapter and cog pulley hanging off a stock "pinned" harmonic balancer is iffy. The F2 is definitely more difficult to turn than the smaller blowers also, putting that much more stress on the stock balancer.

How about half down and the rest now?:D

Damn, Justin. That is looking great!

Kinda have me thinking about clear powder coating the brackets. That's a work of art, and would contrast nicely with that Gilmer belt!

I'd be interested in a unit, but right now Im more intrested in you N2O set up. Can you use long tube headers with the procharger?

Thanks for all the compliments, its looking like I will pursue this.

Fahrenheit:
Yes any headers would work with either procharger setup.

Thats awsome because I know you have to use "shorty" headers for a turbo....if Im not mistaken. I really want to invest in the long tubes and not waste my money later by installing a supercharger that they wont work with.

This will be a cool setup Justin. Other than Tim on the VCA nobody else has chimed in on this setup for the Viper cars. Are you also going to fab up something for the cars also?

BTW here is the link:

The vipers limiter, at least on a gen 3 (not sure on a g2), is the pulley setup, you cant do a big cog style because the rack, etc. is all in the way to come out from the end of the crank. Its one thing to change a fan setup, quite another to start changing steering geometry. You can fit a 10 rib I believe or a narrow cog, but that F2 is not going to work on ether of those. I know at least one F1R has been done on a gen 2, he made about 1000whp with it maxed out. The reverse rotation paxtons can make 900whp on the vipers for some reason (with heads/cam,etc.), I havent quite figured that out yet. Whats really weird is a 7# kit for viper uses a 3.75" pulley with a 6" lower and a truck 7# kit uses a 2.85" pulley with a 6" lower. A few guys supposedly have made 1000whp with a paxton on a car, but the blowers have to be way overspun because they are only rated for 900 crank horsepower.

You know your stuff Justin. If you could tap into the Viper car market with the Procharger setup then the R&D costs would be worth it.
