Damn dude you are running too rich. Your A/F drops to 10.0 on that graph. That is eating HP right there. Here is my dyno with the stage 1 and stage 2.

Welcome to the Forum, I hope you have a good time and enjoy yourself.

The 40 series Flowmasters are very restrictive and hurt the power all the way through the RPM range.
That could be the reason you are running so rich.
Replace the mufflers before doing anything else. The Magnaflow cat back work well, or if you just want to replace the mufflers Dynomax's are good.

yeh i noticed that but the stock computer does it to?

Doesn't make it right. Send your dyno sheet with the A/F to DC performance and have then adjust the timing. You are running richer then some guys under boost.

The voice of reason.

Thanks for all the input guys!!!! I'm faxing the dyno results to Dan for review and hopefully a re-flash will help.

Dont miss Jack's post about the flowmasters. And glad we could help.

got it their gone! goin with the magnaflow, mabe mid pipes and drop in

Glad you are here....good info...

I have had:
The Borla
The flowmasters
The B&B

no need making our mistakes.......:D

the power is in the cat delete...

Hey fstjack where would i be able to get the dynomax that you were talking about. i want to get an exhaust but i just want to change the mufflers

As I said many times before install an "X" crossover before the mufflers and get rid of Flowmasters if you are running them.
Magnaflow and Dynomax make a good "X" crossover.

tow haul mode only keeps you from going into overdrive. It does not change the shift points at all.

Yes and here is why. Power really gets going on these trucks in the higher RPM bands. That is why the flash is such a good deal as it adds the power down low. Now you are in the power band at high RPM's. The tow/haul mode keeps you in that power band longer. In other words it keeps it from shifting to early even though the flash does raise the shift points for you. I ran 13 times one day at the track. I didn't get into the 12's until I put it in tow/haul mode.

I put Flowmasters on for the sound, but I don't know about the performance. I'm probably going to run the 1/4 tonight. I don't care for what the dyno says. It's all about track time for me. In the dead of summer in 103 degree Texas heat after driving for 30 minutes to the track I ran a 14.3. Now, tonight, it should be about 65-70 degrees. If I don't run better than there is definitely a problem with the flowmasters.

Hey Mike!!!! Now you have me wondering about the tow haul. I know under normal driving (not WOT) it does keep it in gear longer but under normal driving you don't go as high on the RPM's. I don't know enough about the tow haul to refute your claim. When my tranny was slipping from 2nd to 3rd I could prevent that if I took it out of tow/haul prior to the shift. Maybe someone else can chime in on this one because my claims are based off what I have learned, not off of what I know. I could be wrong and I don't want to give out bad advice.

That's the way that I understood it also...
