Is there a Ram SRT Guru?

way to stay on topic fellas.

I asked a questioned about changing an automatic QC to manual before, but didnt get a straight answer, most of the answers were i dont know.

i know the clutch could be an issue with the added weight compared to a RC

so want to know if someone took out a trans in a QC and replaced it with a RC trans, is that the only thing need to be done?

If you need all the stuff possible from a RC let me know, I wanna switch mine to a auto. But I dont want your tranny on trade, I only would want the pedal assembly.

dang forgot about that, you got the complete deal to do a swap over:rock:

that is jsut my suggestion, what I have noticed is they start to drop down after so many miles, and it may be due to the factory coils dropping voltage after 3500 or so rpms, not sure, but now it dont stand for all folks, fatjack says he can never tell a difference, but then tnviper said he could tell a huge difference, and most have called me back saying they felt a small differnce after changing the plugs.
and jsut use a reg ngk, havent seen much differnce in the reg ngk over the irridiums yet, but that is all persoanl preference

Cool, I had it sold a couple time to members on here but it always seemed that they couldnt pay, or other things came up. In a perfect world I would like to sell it just before winter and then by spring be up and running with a auto.

they got ten cylinders, the oem pistons and rods suck for big hp,
the blocks actually move around a bit, the mains are known to walk around under nos, the oiling system is poots, oem valve springs float at high rpm, and the oem push rods flex wildly, and the lifters bleed down way to fast at high rpm and cause the cam profile to actually change. burp
the autos suck under nos, they dotn react quick enough and fry the bands, if you upgrade them to where they can hanlde hp , they hit so dang hard it will make a pregnat woman go into labor.
the manuals are pretty good, but bearings and pads are a little weak
the gear oil dodge puts in them would be better used for a outboard marine motor

oem hp on a stock qc is around 410-420
on an rc 420-430
a cold air makes no hp, do a drop in
best bang for the buck is a sct to flash out the trq tranny limiter
and cut off all the cats

nesxt?:D

No, use high-flows or they stink..
And.... be careful who does your tuning
and the p.s. and oil cooler hoses leak
and performance cams without head work don't help much
and the factory ignition coils aren't great
and the autos need shift kits (minimum)
and the factory combustion chambers aren't great
and the rear wings actually work
and the engines love more compression
and Quad Cabs Rule
and... they get awesome gas mileage..:D
