Jan 19/20th - West Coast and AZ GTG, and Track Day.

Ok so back on subject...THIS NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED SOON BEFORE IT TURNS OUT LIKE THE LAST AZ GTG!!!:bebored:

I noticed that the track is open for saturday the 19th for open track/test & tune.

Scott...Can you find out if the track is open for T&T on Sunday if we decide not to "Rent" the track?

I am sooo glad I havent bought plane tickets yet....The suspense is killing me.:(

The Phoenix GTG should work. Just trying to hammer out some minor details...This needs to be done soon. I personaly think that we need to squash the sponsor thing...My .02!!

Hopefuly more peeps on the list will chime in on this.....
 
If we invite Mopars Unlimited of Arizona we would qualify for help. Bill Luke sponsors this club. However, the Mopar Club would have to help us with the deal or we would have a lot of pissed off club members. I am a member but not very active. You probably know how Car Club politics can be, 'No' decisions unless 'Board' approved.
 
I just want to know that this is a sure thing...I know that I cant guarantee anything guys since I am in the military. But I would really love to come and meet or visit y'all. But I'm not gonna pay to fly all the way to AZ for a freakin' BBQ and then drive around getting drunk.

I can do that in Waikiki where tourists wear bikinis and college girls drop it like its hot.:D:D:D

Oh...and...uhhhh....spend time with my Wife...:)

I don't really care either way IZ...I am going to run my truck and viper. So if I have to pay $50-$100 dollars to get in 10 good runs than that works for me. I haven't been to a track in 7 years so I am not sure what the costs are:dontknow: I know there is a park by my house(which is15 minutes from the track) that we could BBQ at.

PS...this is not supposed to come accross as rude or condesending...I just want to meet some guys and have a fun weekend...oh and I am putting off buying new tires so I can roast my old ones!
 
Ok i re-read all the post's since i left and im with some of the others if we have too just scratch the mopar only Track day & GTG and just have a regular track day. Im not saying its not worth it, but maybe we should have started planning alot earlier in the year to get are sponsers lined out and committed. There is alot of people planning on coming to this shin dig so we need to come through and make it happen, hell how many people are planning on racing and how many are not? Lets start a new list maybe that right there would tell us what we need to do. Put are time and money into getting a track, or finding a couple of cool places to cruise, show and shine, hang out or whatever?
 
We have to make decisions. A GTG is a chance to meet some of the Members of this club and secondly have fun with our rides. We've spent a lot of money to aquire our trucks. A few hundred bucks for a GTG is a bargain and we can throw in some racing too! I've been to a lot of two day car club events that cost a lot more and only did a show-n-shine and a parking lot autocross. It really is a small price to pay to meet new friends with the same intrest. I plan on paying my fair share even if I choose not to race. How about it Guys lets GTG and share the cost. When it's all over you can't put a price on the memories and new friendships.

I dont think it was rude...Im with you on meeting the guys and having fun. I just dont want to take 2 days vacation from work and make the expence to go there. I know it does not sound like much to you guys but it is to me.:(

I want this to work for everyone so im just trying to figure some things out.
If you guys dont mind putting up the cash then I apologize for stiring things up and you can go ahead and go for it but I know i cant. I will make it there but prolly not gonna race if i need to pay that amount.

I'm in for $100.00 minimum towards the track costs. I won't be racing but it'll be worth it for the "shock and aw" factor of watching trucks go faaaast!, and a show-n-shine! Lets start posting some $$$ commitments and give Scott some numbers to work with. Add in the gate charges and we'll be in good shape. If we invite Mopars Unlimited they always get a fair showing at a test and tune. They won't be able to resist an all Mopar thing. You can post what you think is fair just to get things rolling. Scott any ideas to add?
