Just a horrible situation. Almost lost one of my sons.

I couldn't imagine what you must be going thru. My kids are my life and can't imagine this sort of thing happening. Hang in there bro........at least you still have him alive.

sorry to hear about this! you should just worry about getting your son the help he needs and don't worry so much about that terrible cousin. I hope she never becomes your problem ever again!
 
Sounds like some one needs to pay a visit to his aunt and beat the shit out of her... ..

so glad your son is ok, i cant imagine loosing mine. he's 18 now and thinks he knows it all. he's not a bad kid, just too much like his father...lol teenages these days have no clue what kind of damage they can do. sounds like the aunt and cousin both knew they had fucked up, thats why they left. cant understand why she didnt go to your wife to start with and let the adults sort it out.
 
Sorry to hear about your Son man. You know we're all behind you and your Family 100%. I recently lost a friend to a simular story.

I'm sorry to hear this, but glad for the news that he's going to be okay.

I think you need to tell him that his actions are understood, but the cause of them are 100% not his fault. His aunt is fully responsible for this.

It sounds like the Aunt can't parent her own children, and certainly has no right parenting yours.
 
Let's be supportive of Eric and his family here. Some times parents don't think before they "protect" their children...finding fault probably is not the priority at this point...I hope the family can work through this situation and find a way to get well...

you know how we are when someone messes with one of our own. but yes you are correct. i get the same way when a child is abused mentally or physically. like all have said i'm so glad the boy came through it and hope he recovers fully very soon.

Ive sat here for the last few minutes after reading your post just thinking about what I would think or feel if that was my son. And I have to hand it to you, it seems that you are pretty level headed right now which is good. I bet its probably good for your boy to see his father be strong for him and not villianize his aunt right now. Im not passing judgement towards her right now, Im just saying...Let him see that you are a bigger person than she was. Hopefully he will learn from this and realize the pain he also put y'all through even though he may not have meant to.

I am truly happy to hear that he is doing well and send him my best wishes and let him drive the truck home.:)

Keep the faith...sometimes its all you got.
