My truck has 28K miles on it. The driver seat leather is wearing poorly. The leather itself is pretty cracked and looks aged. What is Dodge's policy on the seat wear?

Do you fart alot?

Not sure about the seats, but you can check with dealers (plural) regarding what they would do.

There's also a warranty 'guide book' on the Dodge site:
http://www.dodge.com/owners/index.html
-Click on "WARRANTY".
-Select Year and SRT-10.
-Read it all.

There are contact numbers in the back of the warranty manual too.

Yes, and don't mention the farting issue when talking with the dealer.

I had that issue on my 99 Dodge truck. They replaced the seat without asking any questions, and I do fart a lot. Bananas and beer.

You should be OK, since your within the factory 3yr/36mo factory warranty which is bumper to bumper (excluding maintenence items - brakes, tires, etc..)

WEAR AND TEAR IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. ARE YOU CONDITIONING YOUR LEATHER? I'M SORRY TO SAY BUT CHRYSLER WILL NOT COVER THIS UNDER WARRANTY, UNLESS THERE IS A DEFECT

Reminds me of a song:

Stick shifts and safety belts, bucket seats have all got to go...
While I'm driving, in my Malibu, I need to be right next to you...
I need, you here with me, not way over in a bucket seat...
I need.....you right here with me, not way over, in a bucket seat

:D

I think you've gotta seriously determine if it's your fault.....ie, if you keep rough objects, knives, or cell phones in pockets or on your belt where they could damage the seat....

Now, if the seat is "prematurely" wearing, cutting, or breaking down, then that's just bad workmanship and should be covered.....

Go see a dealer, see if they can hook you up. If it's in warranty, a good leather seat shouldn't have issues.

You could talk to a dealership that you want them to be replace and see what they are going said.
