Letter from an independent in Illinois regarding the candidates

Wow, Let's jump on a guy for going to visit his aging grandmother and taking his children to visit his grandfather's grave. Are you kidding me:dontknow:

Last I checked Hawaii was here, and where he spent time being raised by his grandparents. I for one have more than a few functioning brain cells, and I do not begrudge the man going to visit his aging grandmother. Rueters India had a rather impartial write-up on his trip. Google and get informed before you post up the conservative talk show rants on this.

You can debate his stance on issues, but attacking the man for visiting his family is beyond ridiculous and shameful.

If that's the case then I stand corrected. The news report I saw said nothing about a grand mother, just that he had lived there awhile in his youth.

Anyway again, sorry about that, I can't beleive the media(it was a liberal station) would leave something out.(joke)

Taking anything one media outlet says these days is just not plain smart. All bring some biased view to the article. And going off with info they give you without proper research does no good for anyone. Maybe that "liberal" outlet was pissed because Hillary lost:dontknow: Who knows, maybe she hasn't yet. These days I like to read the foreign press, they seem to be covering our election better than our local media.

I always try and read up on anything I post up and try to get at least three media outlets to confirm anything. Sorry for the one article I posted above, I didn't have the time to find the others I read on the subject. I have read some articles that bashed him, but after reading up on his history I was able to believe the media that covered this trip as a family get together.

All I would say to the McCain and Obama haters is read as much as you can about the person you are going to attack. You might learn something about the view from the other side. Personally I believe both of these guys want the best for our country, they just think very differently and have very been molded by very different events in their lives.

I do try to get all sides, that's why I was watching ABC.

However I still disagree that Obama has a greater interest in the country than himself. All it takes to confirm that is his lack of productive actions in the Senate.(he should be ashamed)

Watching any of the networks and what they tell you is not a good idea. They all have serious issues with the way the cover things. I personally watch NBC, but ignore 90% of what they say.

I kind of take a candidates past record with a grain of salt. For those that choose to remember W's record on foreign policy they will remember he had zero knowledge of much of anything. He couldn't even name the heads of a lot of states he deals with now. I'm not one of those that is going to lump McCain in with Bush, but a candidate needs to stand on his own and lay out a plan people can get on board with. Both are talking out of both sides of their mouths, when they do get in office they are going to have a huge staff of people that consults with them on issues. We as the people that vote just need to be informed before we push that button... Ignore the media hype and what the talking heads tell us. Do your own research and feel good about what you decide.

Yea, I base my decisions on watching them speak and interviews combined with undisputed facts.

The conclusion that I arrived at is obama should run for office in Cuba or China or Russia.

Good lord no! Not the All Barack Channel!

Might I remind you about:

"ABC reported that many of the troops were supporting Barack Obama (with one Hillary supporter) because the troops wanted out of Iraq. About 80% of the people in the military vote Republican so 20% of them vote for some other party. It is not surprising that ABC could find people that support a candidate who is not Republican. What is surprising is that ABC was unable to find one single John McCain supporter. Assuming that 20% of the military has switched due to the prolonged war ABC would still stand a better chance statistically of finding a McCain supporter than supporters of Obama and Clinton.

And yet ABC could not find even one. I suspect that they found quite a few members of the military who are supporting the Republican candidate but only reported on those who were supporting Democrats and they pushed the ones supporting Obama to boot. They did this to give him credibility with the military because Obama is not military friendly. He is a blame America first racist who has no use for the military. He wants to bring them home in defeat just like his party did to those who served in Vietnam."

Wait was he visiting the same grandmother that he hated because she was white?

Yup. Matter of fact:

"Inspired by presidential candidate Barack Obama's speech on race, thousands of enraged protesters marched on the home of Madelyn Dunham, Obama's maternal grandmother. Nervous residents of normally sedate Honolulu, Hawaii barricaded their homes and the Hawaiian governor called the National Guard as the crowd overturned cars and burned Madelyn Dunham in effigy:

"She's a divisive figure. She's insensitive. She made Obama cringe!" said Obama supporter Chad Thurston. "

What a waste of jet fuel...

This is a repost but I think it fits here!

My niece, Katelyn, stationed at Baluud , Iraq was assigned, with others of her detachment, to be escort/guard/ watcher for Martha Raddatz of ABC News as she covered John McCain's recent trip to Iraq .

Katelyn and her Captain stood directly behind Raddatz as she queried GI's walking past. They kept count of the GI's and you should remember these numbers.

She asked 60 GI's who they planned to vote for in November. 54 said John McCain, 4 for Obama and 2 for Hillary.

Katelyn called home and told her Mom and Dad to watch ABC news the next night because she was standing directly behind Raddatz and maybe they'd see her on TV.

Mom and Dad of course, called and emailed all the kinfolk to watch the newscast and maybe see Katelyn. Well, of course, we all watched and what we saw wasn't a glimpse of Katelyn, but got a hell' uva view of skewed news.

After a dissertation on McCain's trip and speech, ABC showed 5 GI's being asked by Raddatz how they were going to vote in November;3 for Obama and 2 for Clinton .

No mention of the 54 for McCain.

.

PS: If I ever found out the MF that was responsible for such traitorous,
never mind.
