Since I have ditched the cruise control I am considering trying to use the top left button on the steering wheel (cruise on/off) to act as the line lock switch. Anyone know if this is at all possible? Do these switch modules have multiple wires coming from them that I can use to trigger a relay?

i would think you'd be able to power the line lock, (direct from battery) and take the ground wire from the cruise servo (the on/off switch) direct to the line lock. should be able to actuate the line lock from the on/off switch on the steering wheel. I'm pretty sure thats how its wired, without looking at a diagram this late in the night

8W-33-5 shows "except ETC" and 8W-33-6 shows "with ETC".

What is ETC?

I can't see what you mentioned prior working, simply because whenever the brakes are actuated the cruise is disabled. So when pumping the brakes when priming the line lock it will shut down the cruise signal. Although if I simply find the pinpoints on the PCM, I can cut the wires are use them to trigger a relay for the cruise. There are resistors in the switches, but I'm sure it will still function.

Looks to me like C3 pin 32 and C1 pin 4 is where the switch gets supply and signal from.

My guess is ETC stands for Electronic Traction Control. But obviously that makes no sense here. If it is a cross platform module, maybe traction control is available on another vehicle that shares this hardware.

As for cruise, the cruise module keeps power when the brakes are applied, but it does not hold speed. As indicated by the cruise light on the information display staying on until the cruise on/off button is physically pressed again.

I like your idea, but it would suck to be driving along (twisty road, for example) and hit cruise by mistake and find out that your front brakes are no longer working.

The HURST Roll Control unit (Line Lock) draws pretty heavy amps. I would not use the cruise control circuit directly for the line lock. It would be Okay however if you used a relay. Just use the cruise buttons for activating the relay and you are good to go.

Thanks, as posted in post 1 and 4, that is the plan ;)

Mine is on my shifter lever for now but I don't like it there

I was using the one supplied with the line lock kit, the switch with the rubber band thinger on it. What a POS that switch is, damn near makes more noise than the Procharger. It drove me nuts and I had to take it out.

Mine hurst button broke after two weeks, I have another on now but I'm going to switch to a summit toggle
