Line lock

QUESTION:
Does anyone have the line lock matched up with the brake lights?
Meaning- when the line lock is on, the brake lights are on. Apparently that's the only street legal way to do it.

If you do have it wired up like that, please let me know how you did it. The Hurst instructions are....ahem.....simplistic.

Pics would be awesome.
TIA

got your pm, but I dont use it on the street:dontknow:

let me think aobut it tho, shouldnt be hard to wire up:D

You'll change your tune when you see the plunger switch for the brake pedal.
:D

QUESTION:
Did anyone notice that the Hurst solenoid does NOT accept Flared lines into it?

Apparently a Flared to Non-Flared adapter is needed (NAPA).
The instructions say to use lines with double-flared ends which contradicts what's actually on the solenoid itself.

Did anyone else see this?

Theres A Universal Installation Kit that comes with it. I bought it, Its $25 Bucks comes with Lines and Adaptors.

Working on gettting a bracket made up to install mine.

No wonder my 60's are in the 2.66 area! I've been using the throttle too...:D :p

I actually picked up said "universal install kit", but returned it after realizing that I wouldn't need 20' of brake line to do this job.
The lines and adapters from NAPA are much, MUCH cheaper. :)

I just didn't see any info about the flared/non-flared adapters in the Roll Control instructions. I even read it TWICE! :D

Bucke (or anyone else that knows): What's the line end type/flare for the inlet on the ABS controller module? Double Flared? Bubble? Freaky-type-of-flare-that-only-Dodge-can-make?
The manual doesn't specify.

It's a metric fitting, I think it's called an ISO metric flare - also know as bubble flare. Dealers have the equipment to make those flares. You can also buy those pre-made lines from some part stores, the only problem is the threaded fitting itself might be the wrong size. You would have to use the old fitting then.

Thanks Stingray. I'll stop by the dealer tomorrow and see what they can do.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to get the adapters for the flare-to-solenoid connection? NAPA doesn't have anything like that. JEGS maybe?

Believe it or not, you may want to try a local plumbing supply house.

I know some around here carry some of those fittings.
Id call in first and talk to one of the guys behind the counter.

I've got a bunch of those at work. I could send you a few if you're not in a huge hurry.
