well I put a gauge straight to the block and it read 83 on a cold start up....well at least I know it is not my engine,,,,now to find out if it the gauge or sending unit....since the dealer parts department is not open on the weekend I will not know till monday and that is if they have it in stock.....Thankyou to all the people that responded and sent pics of install

I had an issue with my oil sender too! Preesure would drop to zero at the stop light and then go back up when I gave it gas....but it was low. Took it in and they fixed it in like 2 hours...GOOD AS NEW!

I'm glad its not your engine!:D

That is good news. Where did you put the sending unit, in the place of the factory one?

I have not got the new sending unit yet because the dealer is close on sat. I have a gauge with about 2 foot of hose and I just screwed that into were the sending unit is.

I wish the dealers would stay open on the weekends,,,,DO they not know people work on there trucks on the weekend... So now I have missed friday night racing and since I dont want to take any chances I am going to miss Sunday as well. even though I know I am getting pressure I am not going to drive my truck until the gauge works in the cab.

yep it was the sending unit,,,, 55 dollars and every thing is fine

I put it in myself,,,, it would have took my dealer a month just to figure it out

Good news Stick. I knew it had to be a simple thing. How difficult was the install? I am sure others will have the same problem in the future.......you gotta share the knowledge....its the great thing about this site!!
