You, my friend, are a large part of why America is so great. Keep the faith. :burnout: P.S. you may want to give the VIN number of the wreck to Viper Jeff for reference. Double P.S. Love the Harley (is that a Dyna Glide?)

Already gave Jeff the VIN, and yes that is a 2007 Screamin Eagle Dyna, one of Harley's CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) bikes, limited numbers, only mod i have done is change he pipes, everything else is the way it came from the factory.

this is your first?!?!?!

that's what she said:D

wow...

My First rebuild, but i have been welding/fabricating since I was 6 years old, dad owns a fabrication shop, i have a bit of an advantage on most I would guess.:dontknow:

Got the front air bags on today, what a bitch that was! hidden bolts and such rather than "the easy way" of mounting them as most people do. Then i tested them before I left the garage and the fitting leak on the left side, so gotta take that side back apart... Next is the rear bag mounts and bags, and then modify the exhaust manifolds to not interfere with the building the new firewall.

Modified the right side exhaust manifold, and mocked up the firewall this week. used sheet aluminum (more maleable) to mock it up, have a pattern now and going to make the one piece steel firewall tomorrow. I'll get a better picture of the exhaust manifold tomorrow, lined up perfectly after cutting, rotating, and rewelding to clear the firewall and frame.

ok...

so...how much when it's done....really...

probably sounds absurd, but I'd have to say $75k. I'll have around $50k in it, plus my labor, and... I don't want to sell it that bad, so it'd take that much to talk me out of it basically. No shortcuts anywhere on this, it'll be a show quality daily driver, with every modern day amenity (keyless ignition, power everything, air ride, NAV, A/C, Power seats, shaved door handles, digital dash, Ipod connection, Boston Acoustics stereo/sub, HID headlights, LED tailights, remote everything) when finished, and i'll spend whatever it takes to get it to that point if I am incapable of certain tasks myself (like body work, interior, paint).

Steel Firewall fabrication, still have to finish welding and grinding and cut to fit transmission, should get that done 1-16-11.

Installed the cab, cut the firewall to fit the transmission, and put the floor in. Lots of fun stuff. new Milk crate seat too, had to test out the floor. Tunnel is next, and then cut out where the driveshaft almost touches the floor. The good news on the driveshaft is that the rearend is as high as possible (ride height lowest) and when i put air in the airbags it will create more clearance.

Well I've been working but haven't been posting. Trying to get it running before I disassemble before paint. Anyone have a tip sheet on what I need to get it running? I have an 04 engine and 6 speed complete with factory engine harness and ECU. No clue where to even start besides power and fuel.
