Manual transmission fluid change

so if the truck is on a slight incline (jacking up the rear just enough for my fat ass to crawl under) is the fill not going to be correct amount once it comes out the fill hole since the truck on an angle?

I doubt its 4" in the rear is going to be enough to throw it off....especially being that it is in the center and not in the pivoting point (probably less then a few degree's of angle)

Fill-er-up!

Ok I keep reading that any name brand fully synthetic ATF is good for the t56, I also know that royal purple makes the regular synthetic ATF, and then I hear about the synchromesh, if I can only get ahold of the reg ROyal Purple syn., is that ok to fill it up with?

So I pulled out only 3.1-3.2 quarts of black sludge and replaced it with 4(-the little that I spilled) of nice fresh tranny juice! Thanks for the help!

I see what your saying,But he has a manual tranny.

Went back and re-read what you posted,You are right that is what it says for a manual trans. But if that is how much you put in you are going to be way short.Drain & fill procedure will determine that.I could be wrong,It would not be the first time.:D

i went back and looked at the log i use to keep for the black 05 srt-10 truck i had ,,i changed it and it took just a tad short of 4 quarts to fill it till it was just dribling out the fill hole ,,
Prosedure says fill till it is just leaking out a tad ,,but the manual i have is a Mopar direct service book ,,,:dontknow:
