My PCP is preparing me for a long road of evaluations and tests and follow-ups :( Right now I'm struggling just to see a specialist - available appointments for specialists in my area are 1-2 months out :(

It has been extremely wonderful knowing that there are many that are helping me (spiritually, emotionally) - it was beginning to really weigh on me, trying to deal with this on my own.

It will be nice to forget about things this weekend - no phone calls, no nurses, no faxes - just a little Captain to carry me away :p

First off I'm real sorry it has taken me so long to respond to this. I started to read it first thing this morning and realized I could not dedicate the time to it that it deserved.

As one of my many kids that I love on this site, you know you will be in my thoughts and prayers. If there was any possible way I could get out of working the hours that I do, I would jump on a plane this weekend and join you at the gathering just so I could give you a big furry hug.

However as a child, I'm also going to scold you. You should have shared this with us sooner. Look at the response you have received. You could have been receiving this love and support long ago.

Be sure to keep us informed on your progress. And remember, the power of this family is tremendous. If you absolutely need something, let us know. I'm sure we will be able to help in some way.

Stay strong, and never forget that we love you.

Thank you so much Kris! :eek: All I ask from you is that you come back to us soon - safe and sound (I know that you don't have control over when you come home - but I can still keep hoping).

It's amazing the friendships you can find in the most unusual places - i.e. here from a forum that's all about ViperTrucks :p I cherish your friendship as well - I still wish I had made it up there to Jacksonville while you were there - just to have a beer or two. I will have to catch you on the way back ;)

Miss ya and with everyone's help - I am going to try and stay strong :eek:
