Sorry to hear..Looks like we have something in common..Graves desease..fun aint it.. Had the thyroid nuked about 4 years ago...Very hard to regulate with meds also gives you some gnarly symptoms...more importantly it can also blast you into clinical depression which makes the other medical problems allot more difficult to cope with and recover from. I know it feels and looks rough, but don't feed this mentally. TRY and stay positive as best as you can. Feel better Turtle. :rock:

I feel I speak for all of us when I say that I wish we could do more for you than merely read all of your health woes. Learning of your suffering really hurts my heart. I know how it feels to go through so much with no real remedy in sight. I am also sorry that you are going through these issues alone without your family close by. I hope the moral support you receive from your family here helps you in even the slightest way. Hopefully your time among VTCoA friends this weekend will help to ease your suffering greatly. As much as I want my sincere words to physically heal your pain I know it wouldn't. That is left to the Lord. Prayers are wonderful and I find that they do work when you believe with all your heart. Never give up believing in Him. Leave your fight in His hands for when you are feeling weak He will carry you. God bless you Alex. You are, and will continue to be, in my prayers.

Thank you so much Shawn. Yeah - I'm real sick and tired of being sick and tired. I never really mentioned that I even had a thyroid issue before because it's been used as an excuse by women for their weight issues, but it's so much more than that! They just don't have a clue!

So you are still fairly new to the Grave's Disease? Mine was zapped almost 12 years ago. And it's taken many years to get on the right track with it and now that I have . . . something else comes along :(

It seems too, that if you don't get with the right doctor - they want to automatically blame your symptoms on the Grave's Disease.

The kind words and thoughts are truly helping my spirits. It's truly what I needed and while need in the days to come to stay positive. I appreciate it from all of you.

Alex I'm real sorry to hear your going through so much pain. I know a thing or two about pain, and I don't like it. I might be able to help you with some of your back problems, as I have been dealing with an injured back for a very long time.

Keep your head up, feel comfort in the knowledge that people care about you.

Plus I have a feeling that there is going to be enough pain killer (booze) consumed this weekend that you will at least escape for a little while.
