IMHO, you could easily get a new diesel 2500, with the options you want, and spend $15k in mods to get it exactly the way you want it....and end up with something better than that thing and cheaper....

Reasonable lift, some 37's, lockers, upgraded stereo....you get to pick your own components, get exactly what you want, and you'll have zero miles instead of 78k....also, a 5600 means they did a tranny swap, and who knows what else has been "changed" and/or damaged/swapped...

Either way, good luck getting whatever you want....

My mistake, thought the 03's and forward were different...my 02 CTD 2500 and 03 CTD 3500 shifted completely different....the 03 was a lot smoother and seemed to have a different throw.... and a buddy told me it was a diff tranny....

if its an everyday vehicle im sure youll get sick setting up a step ladder to get into it. not to mention the people that want to go for a ride.

Yeah really. Call up Bill Pemberton and tell him you want a new 2500 with Cummins power. He will get you an unreal truck for cheap so you can mod it up. God knows how much that other truck has been beat on.

Make sure you drive one of the those with the 6-speed manual ("The Handshaker" LOL!) before you buy one. I wanted one BAD, before I bought my Ford SD. I got half-way around the block on the test drive and turned around.... It keeps you REAL busy shifting a diesel stick. (And yes, that is even shifting 2-4-6 too. )
