I have a brand new mopar ram air intake system that's still in the box. I bought it when I saw that mopar disconinued it just in case I wanted to go back to stock but the chances of that are slim. Bought it with my employee discount and just trying to pass along a decent dal for what it is. Part number P4510921 list price was $887.00 cost is $665 plus shipping.

Price is firm at the $665 plus shipping and I will only ship to the lower 48 states. And I can take credit cards for this item if need be

For reference here is the same kit that I had in my truck before I went to the roe:

This photo does not show the compete system. The other part of the system is attached to the hood which draws cold air in through the RAM SRT-10 hood scoop. So the cold air is drawn in through the hood scoop and then to the filter. This picture only shows the bottom half of the system.:D

I always read that the hood scoop should not be blocked off for air "intake" it was for venting under hood heat out so the engine bay does not heat soak.

Which is really interesting; considering Dodge designed both the hood and the intake....

Thought it did come with ram air scoop and box like a Volant ?

I have to say that would not work for "Ram" effect. The scoop is in a low pressure area.

The scoop also allows hot engine air under pressure (from air comming through the radiator) to vent out the top assisting in engine bay cooling, aero and downforce.

I could see sealing the box to the hood and then allowing the cool air from inside the right fender supply the system.

Cheers!

That's how the oe box works with the air deflector behind the grill on passenger side. Routes air to the inlet on the air box which is sealed to the inner fender.

BTW one of the 1st questions I asked when I got my 10 a few months ago was info on CAI's and the majority said for looks and sound get one for performance OE with a K&N drop in, which is what I have now. For 6-700 dollars I would think a TB and tuner would much more bang for the $$$$ with a $50 K&N> I've already been told enough that HP #'s on CAI's are all over rated... But that said this Mopar one looks awesome, thats for sure.
