motor trend best under 25K - 2008 video

Yes, he is viperhauler

08 Was the start of the recession and the rise of crazy gas prices so yeah they could be had at 25k. People were desperate to get out of something that only avg 9 MPG obviously. I remember seeing a guy on a forum asking 18k for his, he just wanted out.

Not me(didn't want to get out of it). Bought it in 07. Daily driven till the last couple of years. There's a satisfying pain to paying more a month in fuel costs for one vehicle than the payment and insurance combined. Lol.

Ha, you dont have to tell me. I was driving mine the whole week since Friday and had filled it up twice with current gas prices and still paid over $100 for the combined fill ups. I had to fill it up again within 3 days of the first one, all while staring at that MPG that said 9.8.

I'd still be driving it if I didnt start having hydraulic clutch issues. I'll tackle that on saturday.

Hahaha $100 for two fill ups. $115-$125 were my average for a while. It sucked. I was easy on mine and averaged 18.5-19.2 mpg per tank.

Yep... It was me...

Seriously one of the coolest things I've ever had an opportunity to do...

The numbers are right.
I gave $28,5 for the truck in May 2007... They removed the extended warranty cost and that's where it ended up.

Apparently it's harder than you'd think to get people to agree to let them beat on your cars - naturally I didn't give a shit lol... But you could have bought a truck for under 25 then even though I paid a little more than that, it was close enough for the article.

I've got some more pics from the day somewhere - I'll see if I can dig them up...
