I know we have a bunch of musicians here. What do you play? How long have you been playing? Post pictures of your instruments if you gotem'.

I'll start. I just bought a set of Yamaha electronic drums and have just begun teaching myself. I might be half decent in about 10 years.

I know you've got some nice axes. Post up some pics and kick this thread off.

Don't have any pictures but, Guitar, Dobro, 5 string, mandolin and a very mean stereo:elefant:

I started playing alto saxophone in fith grade I think. They needed someone to play tenor saxophone so I played that from 6th grade through high school into my first year of college. I played a little bit of baritone saxophone from time to time.

I was in jazz band, private band, marching band, concert band, you name it.

I made all-state band (Colorado) my senior year of high school.

I still have my 2 tenor saxophones at my parents house.

Kevan, I think you could use a few more guitars.:D Cool pic.

I will, but everyone's seen 'em all before........ Thanks for asking.

I'm a retired player 1959-1984... I began my career as a kid drummer who had the good fortune to play with a number of older players in their 20's-40's and as a result, I grew up kinda quick..... Played drums as my principle interest for about 7 yrs but took up guitar in my early teens.... I was always a singer and had natural talent as a vocal harmonizer as well. I kept real busy playing drums and singing at the same time... Guitars and basses have the 4 fattest strings in common, so I could double on bass in a pinch... But, I don't consider myself a proficient bassist. All manner of vocals, guitars and percussion are my principle stock in trade.....

I do hope you enjoy my guitar pictures..... They were all fun and rewarding projects..... Many are of my own design..... Especially my pride and joy, mother of pearl inlayed, Brazilian rosewood and Adirondack Spruce acoustic dreadnaught......

BTW, my amp rig is a 4 amp setup.....Carr MercuryXFender Hot Rod Deluxe... all modded to the fkn hilt....for lead and electric rhythm and a SWR California Blonde bi-amped with a Trace Elliot for acoustic work..... The electrics run via an A/B box.

Thanks again for the interest.... Click on the piks...they get real big...

Yeah. Tim's collection is awesome. I'll bet they all play like buttah too. :)

Silvr- not pictured:
- Ernie Ball/Music Man JPM-6
- Ibanez RG-565
- $150 super-store Strat
- Kramer Ferrington acoustic
- Jackson Dinky
- AllParts Custom (one off; built by the company owner)
- Ibanez EDA-905 (5-string bass...arriving end of the month)

I really should do a new 'buried alive' picture. :)

Owning is one thing.
Playing is another. :)

PREFACE:
This video features several FANTASTIC guitarists, and me. First up is Shelby Williford (Tampa, FL), who might be faster than Rusty Cooley!
Next up is Tony Smotherman. A FL boy (Jax, Orlando), he's got some serious skills. Tony's playing my RG-ART. He loves that thing. :)
The third player is a guy named Trey Alexander (PA native). He and Tony are good friends, and with good reason: they both speak the same musical language.
I've seen A LOT of guitar players in the last decade and a half; Trey and Tony are "the next level". Unbelievable playing from those guys.
I was actually working on my friends guitar and checking the adjustments I'd made to it, when the camera was panned in my direction. :) You can barely hear me because I'm playing through a tiny little battery-powered Pignose amp and my body is blocking the sound from getting to the video camera.
This is all improv jamming (trading 4's and trading 8's) that went on for about an hour straight. No rehearsing...at all.

Enjoy!

I don't have pics handy... here's what I have:
1: 01v96v2 mixer
2: XS88 keyboard
3: Roland TD-20 kit
4: 90's Sonor Lite <scand birch finish>

I think that covers the big items....there's some other audio gear... but those are the main items in my mini studio

nice kit... have fun with it :D

Bandit- I have a V-Session kit (purple) that I picked up last year. I LOVE IT!
The TD-10 Expanded is nice, esp. for a novice drummer like me. :)

Cool vid Kev. Its nice to see people playing again!!!!

As a former rocker I have too much equipment to mention.......complete PA, moniters, mikes, stands, etc.......my favortie axe is my Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 w/ wammy. I ordered it and waited six months for it to arrive.........and well worth the wait......played every gig with it since, that was in 96. Others include, Fender American Strat Plus that was my first electric..........and several more other brands. ADA preamp/amp through a Marshall cabinet..........love that tone!!!
