ok so iv had problems with my motor here lately...took it to a dealership...and finally found an honest person...at a dealership..so i found out the former owner..beat this truck to death.. it's had 2 new motors and 2 new rearends...all within a 3 month time period...so i'v got a few questions, what should i do about this, when i bought the truck it it was advertised as a certified used truck....? seems like they didn't tell me this info i'v found out bout...now i did have some concerns after i bought the truck..it was a "certified" truck...... first thing i did was change the oil cause it was overdue....an and alignment... i didn't think much of it... i was just excited that i finally got the truck of my dreams, an now the truck of my dreams has become a nightmare...what should i do?:(

If it has a fresh motor than you should be OK, someone beating up the engine alot shouldn't cause any prblems, but neglect would.
what seems to be wrong with the engine?
Not sure but NOS / Cam / heads / UD pullies / Roe TB could be the problem.

Who put on all the mods?

That really stinks, try searching your States Lemon Law policies for a replacement vehicle.

How does a lemon law work on a used car. Does it apply because it is certified? or is it a lifetime thing? hopefully you can get it owrked out

well very true... as of right now i've only sprayed the truck 3 times with a 75 shot and the WCC Underdrive pullys are in my closet..and i had to cancel the order for the Clutch cause of having to save up money for a rebuild....and i've had the truck since the last week of october 07 .. wrecked it in nov..and 3 weeks after i got it back..the #10 piston came apart.. everything on this truck has been replaced i have 2 whole sheets of stuff that has been fixed... i haven't had this truck driveable long enuff for me to tear it up.. current mods are k&n CAI and the Roe tb...an a B&M shifter... just seems fishy to me

Damn man, this truck has not had an easy life...best bet I think is get it running and get the hell away from it. Sell it or trade it.
A few options are, the dealer who said it was certified or the insurance company if you can prove the is a result of them not fixing the truck properly. What type of accident was it in?

thanksgiving i was going to meridian mississippi where my dad lives to visit.. and i was right outside of jackson.. it had been pissing rain since i got into ms...traffic slowed down.. i down shifted to 5th it was bumper to bumper traffic.. traffic sped back up i got to 70 mph shifted into 6th and next thing i know i was looking at head lights. then i slid off the road.. hit an H post to a barbwire fence. it has a new front bumper, hood, driverside door and front fender, roof, new driver side bed side. only good thing to come out of it was i used to work at a body shop. the guy who did all the work is badass you cannot tell at all that it has been wrecked

I believe that "certified" just means that the dealer is offering a limited warranty on the truck (usually 90 days). It implies that they checked the truck out and are standing behind it.

The real question is how many miles did it have on it when you bought it?? if it's not too much over 36K I'd say you're doing great..:dontknow:

looking at that history it looks more like warranty fudging... can you send me that vin?

it seemed a bit fishy to me from your original failure photos of the bolt. seemed like a big bolt to be associated with the TB.
might want to get in contact with the regional Dodge rep & see if there is help that way. if not sounds like its lawyer time.
was there a Carfax report offered when you got her????

no bt i asked for a carfax and they handed me a blank carfax sheet said it didn't have anything wrong with it

something just doesnt look right. look at the history and see what the average miles driven. then from july to aug it was driven 8,000 miles. also the last warranty repair shows a motor sept 12th with less miles than in august for the extension housing seal aug 23rd. something just doesnt sound right. it doesnt look like there was a second motor in sept.

well im going down to the dealer tomorrow..an see about them finding an 06 or 07 reg cab...an see if i just cant trade it in

Right now the truck has 45,090 Miles On it this is how messed up it is.

In March 27 2007 at 30,676 Miles on it The Engine Oil Cooler Was replaced with the hoses also

On July 25 2007 at 27,561 It says Complete Engine replacement

1 or 2 things happend some body messed up or he rolled back the miles.. or some body messed up about 3 times putting the milege in wrong

in any event... the records are wrong if not just outright fraudulent... in the best way possible you could remind the stealership that fraud is a felony:p ... ok I'm being sarcastic.... but I would push them as hard as I could to take the truck back...

well we will start this whole ordeal off tomorrow morning...first i'll see what the insurence will do... the Viper tech i talked to said that hes not even going to tear the motor down he said with the history.. hes going to push for a new motor..... an i completely agree....an i'll more than likely start looking for another SRT-10.... an if the insurence will fix it.. i'll prob trade it in on the spot
