After getting nowhere with the search bar, figured I would pose the question. Who has a good NA build? I may be deploying again soon and if I do I will be getting a few more goodies for my truck. Just curious who has done a respectable NA build, what they used, etc. I mean I know TB, heads, cams...but just curious what all works well together and what people have had luck with. Current power mods are: catless, magnaflow muffler and SCT by Torrie. If anybody could just suggest another member to talk to that would work as well. I am sure this covers several items that have been discussed an endless amount of times...just difficult to gather it all at once. Thanks all!

Talk to Tony. He's making nice power on his new N/A setup.

i just talked to tony about this very subject yesterday...

i've seen the dyno sheet... and all that through an auto, no less...

heads, cam, intake, tb, and oem airbox, too...5XX at the wheels;)

Thanks guys....I will have to talk to Tony about it.....depending if I get a deployment or not.

If the oppotunity presented it's self, I would go with the Strykers

there are many options out there, strykers, gen4 conversions " best in my opinion", and your general machine shop doing some port and polish work " tony" they all do pretty well.. But there is a wide range or prices as well... My gen 4 pushed 610rwhp. there are strikers in there around 580 or so, and typical gen 4 conversions in the 540ish...

just depends on what ya wanna do..

Lol!! You're such a rookie! It means Naturally Aspirated. Which means no forced induction.

I was waiting for him to ask "what is forced induction?" :p

What all is involved in a "gen 4 conversion"? Since Strykers are not available...they are not an option for any of us right now looking for this.

I posed a question a lot like the OP a few weeks ago.

I'd be happy with 550rwhp with an emissions-friendly cam (meaning no codes, more than passing a sniffer, since that is not required yet) and heads.

For me, I just want it done _right_ the first time, and reliably. I don't mind paying for it, either.

550hp 600tq is where these beast really should be! They are a heavy beast!

Gen 4 requires a ton of work, but the good thing is there is a builder out there who has done a few of them now. Its just a lot of custom parts, to make everything work.. But full system, full exhaust all that fun stuff installed is in the ballpark of 15k...
It could be substantially cheaper if you can locate your own Gen4 heads and intake for a good price.. just the stock intake from dodge is something like 1800 and the heads 1k each.. SO ideally you find some parts from a wreck or something like this and that brings your price way down..

So if you just bolt on the Gen 4 equipment and do no mods other than that its 100hp at the crank, so your pushing 600hp just like the stock gen 4s are pushing

Now you add porting polishing, cam, full exhaust and tuning which adds another 175+ which leaves you in the 600+ whp range..

if you want more info send me a pm and ill set ya up with the shop so you can get all the details ya need.

After ya do these mods your running nice and safe, no FI and good to kick some ass

if you search there is about 20 pages on the gen 4 conversion we did on here somewhere , you can probably find it under my posts..

Something to remember when you go big with HP and TQ your drive train will need to be upgraded. IRC SRT10VENOMOUS's gen 4 conversion ran into a big road block when his clutch was slipping at wide open throttle. All the HP and TQ in the world isn't going to do you any good if you can't put it to the ground.

does that include "juice" also????:dontknow:

i would vote "yes":rock::rock::rock:
