National Meet Location

Branson

Okay, got a few questions for those suggesting Branson.

Does it have the following?

Dyno facilities?
Drag Strip?
One of our Vendors located close by?
At least a couple members in the area that can help to organize the meet?

I have never been to Branson myself, so I do not know the answers to the above questions. These were however some of the things I looked at when I made the list in the poll.

Silver, I sent a bunch of stuff about Branson to RedSRT007 as I thought he started the thread (dunno why)
Im emailing a guy in Branson. He says he can get a portable dyno, and can hook us up at Ozark National Speedway (44 miles from Branson) and was talking like he could get us attached to a venue already in place (like the Nats). Drawback is the travel to the speedway but, I have seen it and it is nice. Course Branson is like Vegas with the shows and stuff (although no casinos or nekid babes). Thought the readership might want to know this. The guy is real interested in having us there. Steve Libby [email protected] if you want to contact him. Might be an idea for a future get together and 'bout as central as you can get. :burnout:

Sure... Downside is the GTG isnt gonna be very fun with 1500 members and only my truck hanging out aroung my house.:dontknow:

yah no trucks would be kinda not good. Maybe we could bring good pics of em instead LOL. Thanks for the offer of floor space...maybe we could charter a boat to bring em over but where would we race em?

If we can pull off a national meet I'll drive down. I'm sure a few of us Cali guys would drive down as well. As usual I'll bring the video/photo gear with the video projector and some edited VTCOA footage. I might even bring the video crane.

The location doesn't matter to me as long as it is not raining, snowing, cloudy, or cold. This national meet would be a good reason to take a very needed vacation from work.

Glad all you boys are still talking about this... We need to make something happen. We have enough time to make a special event for next season. Need to start getting serious about the location. The Branson thing is great IMHO.

I made this suggestion in the other thread. If you want centrally located with a Vegas feel with lots of lodging, restaurants, shows and things to do other than sit around and look at one another. Drum roll please...........

I would think Dallas to be centrally located. But a Vegas deal sounds exciting. I have an arrangement with the Wyndham Resort in Vegas. If that would be our choice I could get a full furnished four bedroom suite with a livingroom and full kitchen booked for the date we choose. At least that would take care of the room rentals for some of you... Just a thought..
