Need answers - considering a QC SRT-10 purchase

We're not talking off roading through feet of snow, rather driving on an ice covered, slush covered, snow covered road along with other traffic. Not taking the road untraveled, unprepared, unsalted! :burnout:
It'll do as good as any average vehicle out there.

Take it from the Texan... A tried and true veteran of winter weather travel....

Seriously?
The OP can certainly do as he wants. However buying one of these to use as a snow vehicle is a bad idea. They are bad enough in the rain in the summer. No weight in the rear, a Viper engine, and 56's in the rear end is a poor choice for SNOW

He asked for our opinion and we've honestly given it to him, these trucks should not be in the snow, can you do get them around in the snow? prolly, but its not really worth the hassle.

For what he outlined I say raptor will due well and has street cred.

Agreed. You can get around in just about anything in the snow if you have to. But these trucks are a poor choice for specifically doing so.

If you’re going to drive in the snow you have to get the proper vehicle...

snow day

Had to dive it for a month in Feb when the tow truck was down. Got around better than I thought.

The Valentine day blizzard of 2007 crippled most of the north east part of the country. At the time I was working a bike dealer in Center Valley PA. It was a 55 mile commute (one way) to my home in Schuylkill county. The first 47 miles was on rt78/highway. The last 8 was over 2 mountains on 2 lane road. The snow started coming down early on tue the 13th. Got off at 5:00pm & started home in 4"-6" of snow. The further I went the deeper the snow got. I was pushing around 70mph in my TJ until I got out by Andy's place (Hamburg). A Ford Escort had been following in my tracks for miles but now he's trying to pass. On every try he kept getting closer to wrecking me. I said to myself fuck this & really gave it the oats. At 80-85mph he could not keep up. Made it home in my usual time of 60 minuts. Now that's driving in the snow! By morning rt78 was shut down with stuck vehicles. Could not get back to work until that Saturday due to all the road closures.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you guys that live in areas where it snows are well use to dealing with it. But for me personally it would hurt to see my truck out in that climate, let alone drive it in those conditions. But I guess if you have no choice then you gotta do what you gotta do.

Looks like to took a while for my reply post to show up on page one due to mod approval. My main point was if I can get around in my BMW in the snow, my assumption would be the Ram could do it too. Not ideal, but do it.

Do these trucks have common rust issues to look at? For my Avalanche, fuel and brake lines are notorious for rusting out (I've replaced all of them on mine). Rear fenders like to rust as well. Any electrical issues? Anything that likes to leak?
