My 89 year old father in law (Ed) is in his last few days. Saturday he said he was tired and made the decision to go visit Jesus. He's currently in the stage where he is no longer eating or drinking. He is very weak. Can't lift his arms. Cannot take his pain meds anymore. We are having to give him liquid morphine. We just had a prescription filled for a pain patch. He can hear us but can't respond. His breathing is erratic and sounds congested. From what I have read, it looks like he may only last another day or two. We don't really know.

Please wish him a peaceful journey to the other side.

God Bless

He will be in my prayers

May God be with him through his passing and in the ever after

C'mon home Eddie, baby........... They're all waiting for ya'..........!

You got it, may his last days be as peaceful and comfortable as possible.
I know how you feel. I have lost several family members in the last few years and yesterday would have been my father-in-laws birthday. He passed away in Feb.
2 weeks ago I had another very difficult funeral to go to..my Aunt and God-mother who took care of me as an infant while my mother battled cancer the first time.
Through all the pain I daily have to remind myself that they are in a better place now with my mother and sister. But it still hurts.

May your family find peace.

Our Father who is the Heavens,Honorable is your name.
Your Kingdom come Your will be done, on earth as it is done in the Heavens.
Give Us this day Lord Jesus Christ our daily bread and Forgive us our trespasses,
as We Forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us away from temptation and deliver us from the evil one, Heavenly Father.Amen

Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus, Holy Mary mother of God
Pray for us sinners now and at the Hour of our death. Amen

Godspeed for your FIL Dave. He'll have the ultimate reward soon. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
He maketh His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
May the LORD lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace...

Parting is such sweet sorrow...but this is part of existence...

Be strong for your family...this too will pass, hopefully with grace.

Gods Speed on is Journey to a better and pain free life with God. Be liberal with his pain management....on a schedule...that way your certain he is not suffering.
Restlessness, facial grimace..ect can tip you off if he is having break through pain, and manage accordingly...
Your all in thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

My prayers out to you and your family. Soon he will be in a better place, but that doesn't make it easier for those of us left behind.

God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
2Corinthians1:4

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I lost my Step Father at Thanksgiving last year just like that. Very hard to watch and be strong for. But be strong, and trust in the Lord.

Prayers with you brother. Keep strong and just remember he's off to a better place. I feel you, lost my Grandma earlier this year in a similar fashion, after months in a bed it just wasn't her. It was a peaceful send off surrounded by her whole family (She's Samoan, so, it was huge lol).

God bless. :)

my prayers are with you too. My Mom went through this in May and when her breathing got as you say troubled she was gone with 24 hours. They truly are in a better place when they pass.
