Need Prayers for my Father in law

Sorry I havent seen this till now big Dave

But our prayers are with you my friend, it sounds like he has made is peace and is ready to be with his loved ones, make him comfortable, tell him he will be missed and loved , but that ya'll understand.

You have my prayers too. May God Bless him and he rest peacefully when it is time. I hope you can get your good byes in and let him know that he is loved. My prayers are going out to the rest of the family too, as i am sure this isn't easy to go thru.

Thanks everyone. No new news. We didn't see him this evening but received a "no change" report. My wife will be spending 48 hours with him starting tomorrow morning. Everyone is emotionally drained. All we can do is keep him comfortable. It also appears that he likes to have people at his bedside holding his hand. He was always a very social person and that hasn't changed. Thanks again.

Good deal, at least you know something that you can do to give him some comfort and happiness during this difficult time.

Take care my friend.

just seen this thread, sorry to hear about your FIL. prayers to you and your family

we went through same thing with both my wifes parents they went 8 months apart ,after her father went her mom said she her job was done and went to ,both were told by doctor that they would need a feeding tube and pops was in final throws of altimerzes and told me point blank before he was in bad shape under no curcomstance did he want to go out hooked uped to any machines so they gave him morphine and the pain patch till it was over ,,,then mom in law just said one day she was tired too and in three days she left ,,it was one damn tough year ,,

But remember they are going to a better place with no pain and missery,
Its good to respect thier last wishes even if it is the hardest thing to do for the family,
peace be with you and your family
