Aesthetic badge question - have most of you stuck the Viper badges in the same place as the Ram badge i.e. towards the front of the door on the driver side and towards the rear of the door on the pass side, or moved the SRT lettering on one side so the Viper badge is in the same place on both doors? I'm leaning towards the latter, I'm guessing new double-sided tape will be needed to re-stick the letters?

that "might" work, but seems like a lot of time involved to re-apply them
I would just order new ones

I took the "RAM" part off on both doors, the "DODGE" off the tailgate, took the "SRT-10" badge off the drivers door then ordered new "SRT-10" badge for drivers door and relocated it foward.Looks uber-sweet to me.Will post pics soon as get them

That's a good idea. I don't know if you could get the old adhesive off the badge to reuse it anyway...

It would take a lot of time to get off correctly and then probably a lot of time to get new tape cut and sized properly.Cost more to order new ones, but much easier.

actually not that bad i did it on tailgate when i had stripes painted on, didnt take long at all a single edge razor is all you need or a x-zacto knife if thats spelled right

Careful with both of those.
Best method is to let truck sit in the sun. Then using a Hi test fishing line saw the line back and forth between the truck and the emblem.
3M Makes a disc that is finish friendly to remove adhesive. A good Paint & Body supply store should have what you need. If you let the Goo Gone drip down the door it could soften the adhesive holding the body cladding on.
Then your truck would look like Smokes:eek:
Sorry, AZ. I should have been clearer.

Heat from a hairdryer (NOT a heat gun) or a nice summer day will be your best source. Anything hotter and you risk finish/paint damage.

For the GooGone, apply it to the rag/paper towel. DO NOT apply it directly to the body. Only use it to remove adhesive remnants.

GO SLOW! Take your time and you'll end up with better results.
