New Drag Radial Times for JMB's SRT10, 11's!!!

hahaha.....better than a decent driver thats for sure! But yeah your truck is def setup awesome! NOS on these trucks seems like a sure bet. I kept thinking about what could be so different between our trucks (other than the driver) since we are setup similar and running the same drag radials. Then it dawned on me....you have an 05 which means you probably have .456 gears to my .410 I imagined that I wouldn't have enough gear in 4th with .456's and the 390 MH DR since I'm at the end of 4th now with only a few hundred to spare before 6 grand at the traps. What is your RPM in 4th at the traps?

I'm interested in the shocks you are running and how much better they'd be for dragging than the ones that came with the xmetal drop. Here is a recent vid of me and you can hear the tirres chirp between the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts and that is at 17 psi with a 2nd gear burnoout on a line lock.http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y226/Surfer27/Truck Challenge/?action=view&current=truck017-1.flv

Do you think the shocks help a ton?? I have the caltracs cranked up too.

I swapped to a 4.10 set before the N20 because I was afraid of running out of gear. Im going through at 5600-5800 from memory. The shocks dont help a ton on initial launch, but I think they have a dramatic effect once your 5' off the line. Basically if you dump the clutch and it spins, they probably wont help much because they cant react fast enough, but your spinning all the way through first and I believe they would definitely help that. Im also doing a 2nd gear burnout, and 19 psi was getting very close to perfect for the track conditions on that day. Everything else seems to be about the same other than suspension and the window switch.

thats good to hear then....I dun figured one would be out of gear on the gas and them tires w/ the 56's. I have a window swithc I've been a little lazy to put in....I'll put that in before next time and see if I can just stab it off the line.

that will bring it down to the driver, suspension and Vec. ZEXSRT10 got a real good time too. I would love to cut a damn 60!

TRACK PREP.......every track is different....:dontknow: ....can't compare yourself to another track...you are making great runs and progress

BTW Justin

based on your last 1/8th mile times....your truck went 0-60 in 2.99 seconds.....

I'll be testing my QA1 shocks, drag radials, and new power at Bandimere with a few other forum members July 21. I'll be trying Justins launch and tire pressure techniques as a start and hopefully adjust in the right direction. I'm hoping to crack into the 12s (track is a mile high).

Hopefully I'll crack a 60' under 2 seconds...I just get worried I'm gonna break something when I launch this hard...especially with the drag radials.

Dave,
I cut a 1.868 on my first launch with the M&H 390s (stock clutch too). I didn't even do a hard burn out, just a 1st gear scrub off.

Revved up over 3000 and just dumped it. Going back with the Centerforce clutch soon and hitting it a little harder. :burnout:

thanks bud!

Is the whole idear of the shocks to let the font end come up to dump the weight to the rear?:dontknow:

Damn we sure do have some really fast SILVER trucks on here:p

Justin done good, congrats!! I still want to tell you your battery relocate is great, works well to, even on black 06 trucks!
