Don't panic....I still have the SRT-10.....I will be selling my 2006 GTO. Last night I just picked up my new..........Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, Crystal Red metallic, Recaro seats...and .......6-Speed manual .......I love this car! Drove it home from Costa Mesa last night (I'm about 140 miles north). Smooth, powerful, and the most beautiful interior ( a big deciding factor) I think I've seen lately on a factory car. Many of you know I was torn between the CTS-V and the new 2013 Shelby GT500. Well about 3 weeks ago I finally got to test drive a GT500, very impressive...but the back seat was subpar ( I have grandkids to pick up each week)....and really...not much of anything on the road looks like a V (either you love it or hate it). I'll be honest the very first time I saw the CTS-V Coupe I did not like the rear 1/4 of the car....but the more I looked at them, the style has grown on me...and now I really appreciate it. I wanted one really nice travel car so I will be keeping the CTS-V stock (with full warranty). I will be starting developement on an NA build for the SRT-10 , starting with heads , cam and intake. I also have a 2000 Pontiac SLP Firehawk (Trans Am) that is having an engine being built in Houston at LME as we speak. It wll be a 433 cubic inch (Darton wet sleeve) LS1 with ETP Performance heads (255's), big cam (248/252.. .650 lift) and a Harrop Hurricane intake (NA) (8 individual throttle's)...google "Harrop Hurricane Intake" if you want to see something really cool. The Firehawk will be my Friday night cruiser....along with the SRT-10 Ram.

Oh, I forgot to say what a good deal I got.... It was a brand new 2012 (not 2013)... so Orange Coast Cadillac had had it in inventory for quite a while....the window sticker was $71,605 MSRP....and I found it on AutoTrader ....they were asking $69,885....I offered $58,000.....they countered with $58,500......sold! They found out it is probably hard to sell a 6-speed Cadillac to an older gentleman.............but I am "TRAINMAN"....and I love to shift. I love you guys! Thanks Kyle.

I don't know how to post pictures....sorry. I think most people know what the CTS-V coupe looks like....but there will be a Test and Tune in a week or two and when I see SRTBrad I will have him post up some pictures.

you are the man trainman. i love them cars congrats. are you gonna run her?

I'm not planning on any mods at this time, but I am sure I will make a pass or two at a test and tune....you know, just to see what it will do. Feels very strong....I would predict very LOW 12's pure stock and possibly into the high 11's with some drag radials. Nearly as strong as my SRT-10 for acceleration.

jerry,
One day brad might not be here to post your pictures....lol

In that case I'll get you to do it good buddy. But since Brad is probably 25-30 years younger than me, he'll probably be around. I may also have my son show me how......if I change the wheels I'll learn how to post pictures.

It's the Caddy that zigs. I like your choice over the Shelby. Both are great cars, but I don't see too many of the Caddy's on the road. I see Shelby's all the time.

Nice choice!! Wife and I checked one out at the local auto show a few months ago. I was impressed with the interior as well as the exterior. It is surely not short on power either!!!

Would have been my choice as well Jerry! Congrats and I say she'll pull a 12.2 with you're driving :) on street tires:burnout:
