I plug mine up to a battery tender for when I am away for a month. It only activates a trickle charge once the batt drops below 9.5 volts. I never have an issue with anything electrical or an issue when starting her up.. I only have to deal with getting the shifter loosened up as it tends to become stiff and quite difficult to manuver through the gears..

Look at MY post count and member number.. And I STILL have elementary questions.. I'm above NO noob..

Venom...do you have atf+4 tranny fluid in it or the gear oil?

I had the same issue untill I changed it out with atf and it greatly improved that.

Ok This one is more serious.
Calling out to NY members. I have a Florida registration until Dec 09. As my truck sits I will fail an emissions test. I don't want to conform...is there any way to get around this??? I still have a residence in Florida so I may get my sticker through the mail...not sure. I wonder how I could continue to get my registration through Florida living in NY now

More questions
How do I shrink photo's and make them usable as an avatar
This is a cool little program where you can take a photo and set it to the proper size for your forum. The only problem is you have to save the avatar and the go look at it to see if it come in at or below the size (kb) constraints. But it's adjustible. Usually 80% works.

Thank you, I will give it a try. I asked because I never had any luck but to my surprise I just played around and it seems like the program being utilized on this site is resizing for me. I tried a few pics from my pics on the computer and they worked fine without any resizing on my part...is this something new or just another noob find:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

I am not aware of a built in program that re-sizes your pictures for you. That would be news to me. I thought all avatars had to be 100x100 and under 4.9 kb. Unless your Begood and get to fly the supersized avi.:D

I noticed on the other thread you said there were 16 plus pages. Here's a way to reduce that. At the top of the screen click on "user CP" - "Edit Options" page down to "Display Options" set your post display to "40 per page" and save that. knocks the page count down considerably.

I am assuming that you have a manual shift. If that is the case, you have a tremec t56 tranny(also used in some gm and ford cars) and they call for the atf fluid and are filled from tremec with atf. Only dodge has the gear oil in there. If your warranty has expired, I would try the atf and see if it works better like it did for me. If you still are under warranty, keep the castrol gear oil in it.

I would stay with the gear oil. The atf will void the warranty on the tranny.

A battery tender is the best idea to keep your battery charged,if your battery dies in freezing temperatures your battery will freeze and then the plates all warp and the battery is garbage, then its new battery time and your truck still doesn't start(LOL:mad: ),so more less a battery tender is cheaper then a battery, hopefully this helps ya all out:rock:
