Is there an aftermarket/performance camshaft available for our trucks?

What about the Viper Comp Coupe version? Has anyone tried this cam in a RamSRT-10?:dontknow:

I have it.....it sounds NICE! Stinker and Jack have heard it.

Which one? The Comp Coupe version? What's the part # ?:dontknow:

Comp cams makes one that's a little bit different grind than the comp coupe cam too. Mmmmtorque is running it.

I am sure he'll chime in when he sees this. :burnout:

Another question to add here on this discussion is: Do you need to provide extra clearance on the piston tops? i.e. do you have to cut larger valve clearance notches?

there is also a mopar performance cam shaft i have 1 in stock here sells for 290.00. part number is p4510171

Pat do you have the specs on that stick? Does Mother Mopar suggest extra clearance on the piston tops for the valves?

Damn yet another question- Anyone have the cam specs on the stocker? And have the cams changed specs over the years?

LOL sorry for the interrogation but knowledge is power. LOL

So Mopar makes the comp coupe cam & a mopar performance cam? I assume the comp coupe is the more aggressive/powerful one?

Could be different profiles altogether.... Or slightly altered... or completely different. Which is why I am seeking the specs..... :D

this is a direct replacement for the stock cam it is out of the viper comp coupe. it says that you will get 6-8 rwhp with just the cam.

cam lift 0.3519" intake and 0.3519" exhaust
duration at 0.050":220.00 intake/230.5 exhaust
cam centerline = 117 degrees after TDC

How about 1.7 rockers, springs, retainers (upgrades) with the cam?
Are they needed with the cam? If so, which cam?

I'm running Comp Cams part #111-000-10 VIP3 2003UP Viper/Truck Special Roller

Gross lift Intake .528 Exhaust .536
Duration Intake 218 Exhaust 224
Lobe lift .330 and .335 with seperation of 114

Sounds much better than stock and gained around 25rwhp. :D
