Jeff I think it would be a good remembrance of John to have his truck as truck of the month.

and we have had the "gimmes" before , you know that

there is nothing wrong with this memorial, but I dont think others that are nominated should not be allowed in next month, such as Tee tee, hsi truck is very very nice, and should have a fighting chance.

I vote we go ahead and have Harvgraves for this month, and do it again next month for the members.

Special circumstances this time around

Not saying it will allways happen, but as loved as John was, i think its the right thing to do.

But it's all up to you all


The TOTM will go on as normal with no special treatment. If the membership decides to vote John as TOTM, it is there choice.

All the rules will stand regardless of what your choice is

Note: John always appeared to me as a bust ass kind of guy that never took anything for free. He always seemed to me the kind of guy that earned everything he did. So if you want to honor him, give him a straight up competition......... I think he would appreciate it

Alright Viperjeff, Im still in for october so that I can try and give John some competition, but if Johns truck takes it by a vote of 2 to 1 over anyone, can you think about allowing us to try out for novembers totm? :dontknow:

I wanted to vote for John's truck for a long time anyway. His was the first with the Venom hood and those headlights are killer. Pictures don't do it justice, I saw his truck in person last year.

I feel as others do that in Respect for John it should be His Truck.

Viperjeff, I would like to DECLINE my self nomination to October totm just like JIMTETE and battle it out with him and others next month.

I dont know who John was, but I can tell a lot of people knew him and would like to see his truck on the main page.

Didn't know John myself but, he must have been a hell of a guy. I'm out, heck I never had a chance anyway with such nice trucks up. I figure I'll let all the modded trucks win next month and catch up later.
I wish the best to all those who knew John and wish I could have met him. Could some of the photoshop guys make a memorial pic for us to see???

First let me say that John’s Truck would look BAD A$$ on the Main Page. I think the truck would have given any truck here a run for its money in a TOTM vote.

Having said the above, I think the nomination for John’s truck for TOTM has started to take on a life of its own and should be looked at in a different light. We are starting to have individual withdraw from competition because several individuals want to GIVE it to John and emotions are running high and deep.

I never had the pleasure of meeting John but from what I have heard and what I have read he was one heck of a man. As a matter of fact I envy anyone that has this type of loyalty and has inspired so many with his actions. Others have suggested that John would not want it given to him and that he would want an HONEST win.

Given the current atmosphere I don’t think anyone can say that this month’s TOTM winner would be anything but a posthumous award.

So I make this suggestion, and please understand I am not fluent on the rules or bylaws, Jeff would be the expert here. Why not make a Honorary TOTM award to John on the Main Page in remembrance and let the other members battle it out for TOTM. Both could be displayed on the Main Page.

That way we only have One TOTM and the rules are satisfied. As Honorary TOTM the members are able to pay respect to a Friend and his Truck.

I hope none of this upsets anyone and is not meant in anyway to diminish or take away from John or his contributions to the VTCOA or this Forum.

Based on what I think I know, two pictures on the front page won't work (board is not set up to do that, but through modiification can. Not sure Patrick wants to do that for one month)


The TOTM nominations are open till the 25th. At that point I will pick the trucks that will be in the poll. So far WOLFRAM & Krazy are the only ones on the poll. Haven't decided weather John will be in the poll or not (like I said, I hate gimmies)

I still think if we want to memorialize John, we do it again in October the same way we did in September and that is what I leaning to do. BTW, Oct and Nov are the last two TOTM, Dec is for TOTY.
