Out of respect for John and the entire forum, John won't be in this months TOTM. Someone needs to be the bad guy and in this case it might as well be me. If Patrick wants me to, I will put the Supercar1of1 Memorial on the corner of the picture for the Oct TOTM.
We have some pretty strong willed people on this forum and sometimes when they type something, it just becomes, well, what it should be.
We have around 100 +/- votes each month. My bet is if we had a gimmie poll, that number might be in the 30's and a lot of those 30 because people think that is what they are supposed to do.
Those that didn't like John or like another truck better or have a good friend in the poll would not vote...... just because. I don't like being the bad guy, but I want to see people always have there right to choose.
I know I said I was going to make the votes public, but I won't do that either.
If you go back and look at the nomination threads, the guy that gets the most pub on the nomination thread isn't always the one that wins.

We did have a gimme one time, and I was one of the sacrificial lambs that ran against that person. Really did not want to, as I wanted to run the following month, that was the month of my birthday. But then, we needed at least a couple trucks to run, so I did. Well due to a misunderstanding with Patrick, I could not run that month following month, so I never did. Felt bad in a way as I was very proud of my truck.
Once again, congratulations for making a very, very tough choice.

Okay - as I've read through many of the posts already for this TOTM deal . . . I've had a lot of thoughts go through my mind. And since many other have stated their OPINION, I figured for giggles I would throw in mine.
I understand everyone's mourn over the loss of a very fine gentleman, and the concerns that this would be a "sympathy" vote - making almost unfair for the others that ran against John. But that's not how I see it . . . it's not fair that someone else nominated his truck and the nomination was denied (only in my opinion - don't get upset). To me - it's not a matter of sympathy - I deal with the sympathy in my private time. It's a matter of who has the best looking / modded truck. John was the inspiration behind the MV Performance hood - not only was he the first to display this awesome hood, but he also spent a lot of his time and money for help others obtain this very hood. I think the hood looks rockin'!!!! I nominated Begood in August because he did buy one of the MV Performance hoods and his birthday happens to fall in August - so I thought it would be a perfect addition if he had won (which I am grateful to everyone that he did). I love EMT's truck (mostly because I know it rocks the strip and it's silver!!:rock but I have not seen a pic and he was not on the nomination list. I like KrazyKris's truck (who is on the list), but I'm not a fan of red - those pics of his truck though make the front look sweet.
