I understand October is your birthday month, and it is mine also, but we started the TOTM's to be fun for all, and fair too....I wanted smoke to win TOTM last month also, but to be fair, we played by the rules and had a poll. I apologize if you feel I lied to you such of that nature, but I do things that are fair for everyone....

I will just chalk it up to a bad memory. However I still think it's bullshit. Everyone who entered last month besides Smoke knew they didn't stand a Fu*king chance of winning and that they were going to lose.

Guess next time I won't volunteer.
 
So if your truck(s) do not have a chance of winning should you just never submit them. ha ha ha

Your not wrong, but I respectfully request that we allow John this opportunity. I was the one that was leading the charge to get 4 other trucks in the poll. I just guessed that Scott would appreciate the recognition more if there was still a pole. We had some very good people step up to the plate and make it an actual contest instead of a prize give away.

John did me a favor by helping me out. I don't need to be in the October TOTM. I think every once in a while becuase this is a for the members by the members organization that we as members can decide if its the right thing to do.

I'll just wait for Christmas....The truck is painted in Christmas colors RED, green and gold.

So to John, I appologize for putting you in this situation. I'll take the hit for misleading anyone by my comments and I sincerly appologize.

To the rest of the "for the Members, by the Members" we need John in the October TOTM.

Not a problem on your part Jeff. I was wrong I guess. Damn. This is the second time I have been wrong this year. I really try to limit myself to only one mistake a year.;) :D

But come on its just a monthly thing, lets not make it like other monthly things.

Personally I dont think there should be ANY rules to this as how many times you can win.

It should depend on the votes and nominations of the members.

If the members think someones truck is just awesome, WHY cant they win a couple months in a row.

It is a forum for the members by the members let the members choose.

But my opinion is like a butthole, just dark deep and often neglected.

What if we changed the rules a little but kept the same principle. So instead of limiting month to month submissions, we limit the yearly amount. So you can not be entered more than 6 times in a calendar year or 6 times over a 12 month period from the first time you entered. This might make things easier.

If not then I do ask that everyone who was involved in September be allowed a one time pass to enter again in October. This was a special deal for me and I hate to see someone not be allowed to enter because they took a dive for me. I understand there are rules, I'm just asking to bend one a little.

Rules are rules Smoke. I misunderstood what Patrick said. I can live with it and don't need to see anything change.

That's cool, but the limit of 6 submissons a year might still be a good idea. Just thought I would throw that out there.

I'm with Silverback on this one Scott. I like the very simple rules that we have now.

I just felt responsible. (thanks Silver for the no problem) It would have been great to see Silverback in this months TOTM poll, but it is what it is. I just don't want or need you to feel bad about any of this. I did what I did because I wanted to. No twisting of arms.

Life has its few pleasures and helping you has been one for me. I would do the same thing again without hesitation.

I appreciate what your doing and what your thinking, but its OK.
