OEM Tonneau Cover installation

I got mine new. didn't have a cover, but was drilled with the threaded inserts, no brackets or anything else and I seen a few others when I was looking, and a few that weren't. Also no drop in liner or anything like that for mine. I'm guessing that may have been an individual dealer thing or just QC? Not sure if their was a credit, have to check my paper work.

I revise my statement, evidently not all. My truck was a fairly early build, no cover, no credit but others show it (see pics)
