What you're looking for is the ONLY rubber piece on the top of the oil filter.
1. Make sure the new filter has it on there.
2. Make sure the old one is off the engine.

LOLOL try this..........

start filling a catapillar 3406E it takes 11 "gallons" and realize on the 8th "gallon" you forgot to put in the drain plug:D LOLOL


You just kinda walk away:D :D :D
