i got a couple a few years back and went to the doc and they gave me this stuff and now they are all gone ... dont know what it was called...

What everyone else has suggested and said is very true - your dentist or doctor can also write you a prescription for stuff called Apthasol. It helps a great deal, from what I hear. Basically, you feel one coming on, you put apthasol on a couple of times a day, and the thing lasts 50% less of the time.

There is no cure.

What are canker sores?
