i got stuck at work yesterday and today. i should be outof here around 6 but im all the way out in bum-Fuct Auburndale. so hopefully i can make it.

Mutt called from the GTG

Mutt called fron the GTG at Dennis's.

What a good call;

I got a chance to talk to Mutt, Turtle, Ken, Earl, Borden3, Dennis, and Scott. I probably missed someone, if so I apologize.

What a nice bunch of great guys.

The GTG was at Dennis's place and everybody sounded like the were having a ball. Dennis said they were riding a quad, shooting, partying and cutting up.

Scott brought his hotrod jet ski and they were all headed to the lake to try it out.

This is the finest group of folks I have ever had the pleasure to be associated with, thank you all.

What a day!!

We had a blast!! Good time, good people, good food, good beer, good liquor, good gawd!!

I would like to thank Dennis for hosting this, now annual event!! He was a great host, and has a nice place out there is no-man's land!!

We shot a couple rounds of ammo, rode around on Dennis' hotrod quad, and we did go to the lake.

But, before anyone else has a chance to post, what will undoubtably be embarrassing pictures, I'd like to explain....

When I parked the jetski for the winter, I thought that I had disconnected the battery.... turns out I didn't. So....when I pulled it out yesterday, I jump started it, and let it run in the driveway for about an hour to try and charge the battery. And it worked! So, before we put the boat in the water this afternoon, I started it again to make sure it was ok. And, I started it on the trailer while it was backed into the water. It was running strong! Real nice and fast, I hit an unexpected wave, (The water was pretty choppy from the wind) and I accidentally pulled the key out, and the machine died. I didn't think it was a big deal until it wouldn't start again. So now I am stuck in the middle of the lake, late in the afternoon, and not too many boats left to tow me back for a jump start. Well... my "friends" decide that it would be more fun to take pictures and make fun of me, than get me some help!!! And those are the pictures that you will undoubtably see soon!
And to top it off, the damn thing wouldn't start again! I think I fried the battery, but I am a little worried that something else broke! Thank Goodness for Warranty work!!!!

Couldn't ask for a better group of people to hang around with!!! To those that didn't make it, we thought about you all day, wish you could have been there, hope to see you at the next one!!!

just got home...scott pretty much said it all...shooting guns,drinking liquor (me,my dad and kenny killed a 1.75 bottle of gentleman jack, kennys shoulder wasnt bothering him much last night) so much for not drinking...4 wheelin, jet skiing-well kind of, bonfire, BBQ...we called and talked to Jack, Mikey, Tony, Jerry and Denise...Great time, Great friends, Great food-Kenny brought some venison brats to die for...we will have pics as soon as Turtle makes it back from taking kenny home...Earl gave me a set of sneaky pete floor mats-you rock brotherman.

5 QC's and only one RC...WTF?!?!

1 silver one
We woke up this morning and only the 3 black ones remained-Guess the black trucks are the fastest in addition to the hardest partying...
Overall just a damn good time...talked about going to the Nat's and meeting everyone else...looks like Florida is going to be representing pretty well in august...the next gtg is at Brats house for memorial day...cant wait!

Well I can't thank everyone enough for the wonderful time I had yesterday.
Brother Earl was kind enough to give me a lift over, and as always the time with friends is most rewarding. Turtle was nice enough to give me a ride home today, as Earl and Family needed to go "early" last night, and I felt the need to spend more time with everyone. As stated above... we had a great day, with plenty of laugh's, great food, and great friend's. Borden3 was the distant traveler, and as alway's great to see him and the family. Dennis thanks for being a great host. I am already anticipating the next GTG on Memorial Day.... Brat's house.:rock: Jake those pic's came out great :rock: I can't wait to see how the ones I shot with the 35mm came out:dontknow: Funny we have almost identical shot's of the line up of trucks...:rock: They look great:top:

I was also presented a check from everyone here....and I as I stated yesterday in a toast to all of you...there will never be enough words that can tell everyone how humbled, amazed, honored, relieved, thankfull..... for the overwhelming support that you all have given to Dawn and I. It will never be forgotten.... NEVER. .
When I presented it to Dawn... tears of relief and joy filled our eye's, as we still can't believe all this from an internet forum.
"Just an internet forum" is where we were three years ago, now it's a place where I go to keep in touch with lifelong friends, to see how they are doing, to share our feeling's, to get advice from those who have been there/ done that.... to elevate someone when they are down, and of course talk trucks.:rock:
Mutt was also gratious enough to give me a limited edition Ruger 10/22... 911 Special Edition...never been shot. I have a friend that builds cases for fire axes for our retired firefighters...and I believe it will find a home in one of them, so it can be on permanent display. I can only hope that I can live up to everyones expectations in the future, and know that I will do anything I possibly can for anyone.

Once again... Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. We are truly honored and humbled from the overwhelming support from all the fine men and women of the VTCOA!
