threw the code P0320, The OBD II reader gives this information.

Ignition/Dist
Engine Speed Input
Circuit Malfunction

DTC Pending (Codes)
No Fault Detected.

Anybody have any idea what the deal is? The truck seems to be running fine, other than the light being on. It first happend when I accidently killed it in first trying to take off (not fast). I turned it off, let it sit for about 2 minutes, then started it and the light was not present. I killed it again on purpose to see what would happen and the light came on again. Now it wont go off. So I had the code printed out. Any help would be appreciated. I might take it to Mr. Weaver and let him go thru it. Thanks guys.

Did you try resetting it to see if it comes back?

no not yet....i drove it home and parked her in the garage, i guess ill play around with it tomorrow......see what happens.

I had the same code pop on mine the other week .First is a bad crank referance sender but if the code didnt stay thats doubtfull . Loose connector or wiring and a jiggle flickered it . There also is a TSB if this becomes reoccuring the dealer will have to reflash your pcm. TSB #18-004-05

that tsb is only for a 2004 srt-10... do you have a 2004, if so get the flash

Reboot the PCM...it should go away...had the same on my '04...disconnected the negative terminal on the batt...left it for 30 minutes, and it has never come back.

For a while I was getting that code about once a week. It seems like the truck wouldn't turn over and then the code would pop up. I can't remember who I talked too, but we thought it might be a loose connection from the STS-1E (VEC2). Then it just stopped doing it.

sorry, its an 04. i will try some of your suggestions, if that does not work, then off to weaver it goes. Thanks guys.

There is a TSB on that issue. False code. My truck had the same issue, but I have the Mopar ECM. Truck is in shop now to fix rear main oil leak, while trans is out, going to replace crankshaft sensor as it is located on back of block. Also getting toys installed:D

This TSB applies to 04's and 05's http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2005/18-004-05.htm.

I have had the same issue and the got the new flash. The new flash also helped out with improving the idle ;)
that flash (tsb 18-004-05) only applies to 04's. thats for the no crank ref
tsb 18-027-05 provides enhanced evap leak detection monitor for R.C.'s
and imporves idle after a cold start, cruise control overshoot and MIL P0330 (knock sensor circuit) P0740 (TCC out of range) on quads before built date Feb 18,2005.

well, i started her up last night to drive to the local sonic and it was still on. got to sonic, shut it off....ordered, got food, then turned it back on and no light...what the heck gives......should i just take her in and get it taken care of once and for all?

yeah..check engine light will clear after the 3rd good trip. so it ran a 3rd good trip before you got to sonic, then after you turned her on, no light... you need to have it flashed.
