Does anyone have an accurate wireing diagram for the 06 qc that shows exactly what connector and pin # and or wire color the asd signal wire that leads to the PCM is. None of the wireing diagrams that I have found or anyone has shows the exact location. All seem to show only what the 05 qc have and the 06 is different from the 05 in that the 06 has all the relay integrated into the fuse box with no actual removable relays. I really need to know exactly what wire or wires on my fuse box is the ones leading to and from the PCM from the asd relay. Any info will help... Thanks

What exactly is your truck doing bud? I am unsure of the ASD but thought it was built in the PCM?

No.. Throwing a p1389 code which means the PCM is not recieving a signal from the asd relay

Hope this helps

Possible Causes
GOOD TRIP EQUAL TO ZERO
(A14) FUSED B+ CIRCUITS
(K342) ASD OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
(K342) ASD OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
PCM

Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. (Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure)

1.GOOD TRIP EQUAL TO ZERO

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record the related Freeze Frame data.

Is the Good Trip Counter displayed and equal to zero?

Yes

Go To 2

No

Refer to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION Symptom (Diagnostic Procedure).
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.(Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure)

2.ENGINE STARTING STATUS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Attempt to start the engine.

Did the engine start?

Yes

Go To 3

No

Go To 4

3.(K342) ASD OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the TIPM harness connectors.
3. Disconnect the PCM harness connectors.
4. Measure the resistance of the (K342) ASD Output circuit from the TIPM to the PCM harness connector.

Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

Go To 6

No

Repair the open in the (K342) ASD Relay Output circuit.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.(Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure)

4.(A14) FUSED B+ CIRCUITS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the TIPM harness connectors.
3. Using a 12-volt test light, probe the (A14) Fused B+ circuits at the TIPM harness connectors at the PDC.

Does the test light illuminate brightly?

Yes

Go To 5

No

Repair the open or short to ground in the (A14) Fused B+ circuits. Inspect the related fuse and repair as necessary.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.(Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure)

5. (K342) ASD RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Disconnect the PCM harness connectors.
2. Measure the resistance of the (K342) ASD Relay Output circuit from the ASD Relay cavity in the PDC to the PCM harness connector.

6.PCM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE: Before continuing, check the PCM harness connector terminals for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Repair as necessary.
1. Using the schematics as a guide, inspect the wire harness and connectors. Pay particular attention to all Power and Ground circuits.

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.

Repair

Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module per Service Information.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.(Refer to 28 - DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Powertrain Control (PCM) - Standard Procedure)
